PoS fan who harassed Westbrook

Hopefully the Jazz PR damage control is on their game this week.

I was hoping we could rally around calling out and exiling the very small number of fans who make all of us look terrible. Instead of trying to determine the exact amount of vitriol Westbrook deserves to have thrown his way because of his demeanor.

Go to any internet comment section, forum, whatever and it’s ‘typical Utah’,‘not the first time’, ‘move them to Seattle’, etc.

That just really bums me out. I don’t want to both sides this issue. I want to be a respected organization, team, and fan base.
If the fan deserves to be banned from the arena, ban him and anyone else that acts like a jackass.

But he is in the minority just as the fans of other teams that hold Utah accountable for this guy. Most people understand every fan base has those that embarrass them.

What’s disturbing about your post is you seem to care more about the Jazz’ reputation than whatever is the fair and equitable outcome. I mean, I read into your post you’d just as soon crucify the guy whether guilty or not just to show the world we are “good people.”

Based on his tweets I think we can surmise that he had the intention of calling out Westbrook. Hell, interview the season ticket holders around him to find out what was said. I bet it's even on someone's cell phone. I'm pretty sure he crossed the line. And guess what, Westbrook is just like him. He's looking for trouble when he comes to Utah. They both are in the wrong.

Ban the fan and fine Westbrook. Anything less is a cop out by the NBA.

Our organization is straight class and will do everything possible to get to the bottom of it. If the fan acted poorly I expect them to ban him. Not sure the action was caught, but there are enough people around him that should be able to tell the story.

BS.

The reputation is earned, and there is a mountain of evidence against the dude.

The number of people coming to the fans' defense and justifying their actions, if anything, further gives value to the multiple accusations from various players over the years regarding treatment from our fans. Where there is smoke there is usually fire. To now shift the conversation to Westbrook and his reaction takes away from the issue at hand and the conversation being had by the entire league regarding our fanbase.

If they did indeed say something to the effect of "get on your knees" than that is unacceptable and disgusting behavior. It's a racist remark that is meant to be racist and anyone who believes otherwise is delusional and ignorant. I'm all for heckling and getting into fan-mode but there is a line you don't cross. I think Westbrook crossed the line too with the wife remark but it sounds like both husband and wife were in on it.

The thing that bugs me is we know exactly what Westbrook said... the rest is he said she said at this point. We can infer it was something bad, but it's a guess.

Hey Russ is no saint either, he seems to like to taunt fans in the arena. Not trying to justify the fan's racial slurs if there really were any (which is likely), but Russ should be mature enough to know that his behavior on the court might trigger fans, in a non-racial and unfortunately sometimes, a racial manner.
