THIS THREAD IS FOR DUDES WHO DON'T HAVE THEIR HEADS IN THE SAND AND REALIZE THAT JEFFERSON ISN'T IN OUR LONG-TERM PLANS AND, THEREFORE, SHOULD BE DEALT WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT.

Where can you see him going?
Detroit? Toronto? Boston? Houston?

When?
are we going to have to wait until the offseason or next season's deadline? Any chance it could happen this year?

The 150% + 100,000 rule is not allowed for players making over $9.8mm. Unfortunately, he can't be traded for Rashard Lewis.

Give him to Indiana for another TPE.
Call every team and ask who they want to dump.

Here's another

Yeah, I went through every team and find Charlotte to be the only one that both makes some sense for both teams and has contracts that match up. I'm not sure how I feel about giving up Jefferson for that though. It frees up a lot of money this off-season but getting no assets in return isn't very appealing.

After playinig with the trade machine for about a half hour the only trade that I thought could be done and makes sense to all parties involved is:

3 team trade Utah/Boston/Portland

Utah trades Harris and Al and GS pick
Receives Rondo and Oneal, JaJuan Johnson

Boston trades Rondo, JaJuan Johnson, Oneal and their 2012 first round pick
Receives Felton, Al and GS pick

Portland trades Felton
Receives Harris and Boston's first round pick

I know I already posted this trade else where, but this is the only trade involving AL I could come up with, that looke plausible.

Utah won't be dumping Al for nothing. They'll either get value from a team looking to make a playoff push, or they'll keep him and wait until the offseason.

We should have a better idea of possible scenarios in a few weeks.

Unless we are including the GS pick, Kanter or Favors and Burks and Jefferson I am sure Washington laugh in our faces. Even with all those assets I doubt they would trade John Wall ever.

i know, but we have to sacrifice something.

if i had a team like washington,i would trade him,u need 5 good woking pieces, washington has only one, they cant get any worse than this.that one fantastic piece can give them back 2-3 decent pieces.

i am a firm believer in addition by substraction.
unless we trade him for melo or other ballhogs.

so i'm okay with any trade that dont gfive us melo type ballhogs in return

Memphis maybe? Randolph being out it is killing them. They have some young talent jazz could be interested in.

Trouble is so many teams cleared out space for last offseason or for this upcoming offseason. Jazz would again be sellers in a buyers market. Might be better to wait it out.

Nah. They're one of the most logical choices but getting salaries to match is near impossible. Unless we did something like Jefferson and Miles for Rashard Lewis' albatross and their 2013 1st. They'd get a legit post presence and a wing. We'd take on an awful contract but at least he's a guy who could start at the 3 and shoot, as well as that 2013 1st. There's no way they'd give up their 2012 1st rounder.

Watson-Tinsley
Bell-Burks
Lewis-Hayward-Carroll
Millsap-Turiaf
Favors-Kanter

On the surface, I feel like this roster sucks. Burks and Hayward are still getting screwed as far as PT. But to get that 2013 1st rounder would be HUGE and Lewis would help spread the floor which would aid in the development of our bigs who would be getting much more playing time. Bell and Lewis would be expiring after next season and we'd be loaded with draft picks with some real studs coming out in the next two years. Not sure I'd do it....but I think I would to get that Washington 1st and rid ourselves of two numbskulls.

We could always amnesty Rashard Lewis' *** too, draft MKG and Marshall and our team would really start to round out.

Marshall-Watson-Tinsley
Burks-Bell
Hayward-MKG
Millsap
Favors-Kanter

That core would be sick, especially knowing we'd have the Wiz' 1st rounder in 2013.

Can't amnesty players you trade for.

But, looks like he's only got a 10-17 mil guaranteed clause in his contract for next year.

That means it would be stupid for Washington to give up assets to rid themselves of Lewis for Jefferson, who gets 15 mil next year.
