What's new

possible locations for Jefferson. Also, when is he dealt?

Lewis would not spread the floor...Harris is shooting better from deep.

The trade I like is Martin and Dragic for Al. Martin has fallen out of favor with Houston and with the McHale connection, I think they'd do it.

Seek a trade of Harris for a new jumbotron and Watson and Dragic run the point until we find something better.

I've been trying to find a way to get Al to Houston, but why do they want him when they have Scola locked up for eternity + Patterson + Morris? is it because he can play the C? I dunno if they're gonna want to take on more frontcourt salary without unloading some.

I proposed this in another thread but Harris, al, cj ans probably our 2 draft picks to Charlotte for Augustin, maggette, diaw or diop and their first round pick. Our luck would run that with Jefferson they win a few games to close out the season then get jumped in the lottery and the pick ends up being 5 to 7 range instead of top 3.

Ok, here's the awesomest thing I could drum up:

Utah trades: Jefferson + NJ second-rounder
Utah receives: Dalembert + Jarrett Jack

Houston trades: Dalembert + Martin
Houston receives: Jefferson + Ariza + NJ second-rounder

NO trades: Jack
NO receives: Martin

Dalembert has a team option for next year. So, he could be brought back for $6.7 million, or let go for cap space. Houston does this to solidify paint scoring... which would help them. They let Martin go for Ariza because they have virtually no productive SFs and Courtney Lee and Dragic can play SG/combo guard.

It's pretty clear that NO comes out pretty well talent-wise.

Utah gets a PG + frees up cap space next year.

I like this a lot. I'm not totally sure why NO would do it, though (unless they plan on just letting Gordon walk).

Jazz wind up with 4 PGs. Another trade needs to be made to get rid of Harris.

The Jazz can cross that bridge when they come to it. As it stands, the Jazz don't have a single starter-quality PG on the roster (as much as I love Watson and as good as Tinsley's been in limited action even though he can't guard a chair) and Harris is a net-negative "asset" already.
