Why does everyone want Kanter to shoot threes? Makes about as much sense as wanting Burks to be a PG. I want him to learn to pass out of the post and set a pick before I want him shooting threes.

his picks are decent as of late, and so is his passing.

I want him to shoot 3's because he can, and because him not doing so is why Marvin starts over him. According to Locke, Enes drains 3's in practice scrimmages pretty often, but the coaching staff has discouraged him from going after them in games because they have other things they want him to work on. Apparently Enes himself is enamored with the 3 ball. Would you be too if you were a 6'10" brick who could also drain from the outside? I say they unchain him and let him play his game (both inside and out). I don't want him shooting 3's on every possession, because I too love his footwork, hook shot, and straight up toughness in the paint. But, could you imagine how much damage he could inflict on opposing defenses if he shot the occasional 3? He would be the best of both worlds. Marvin provides spacing because he can hit the 3, but he can't bang inside. Imagine if Kanter could destroy an opponent inside, and then step out on the next possession and drain a triple --there are few players in the league who could sufficiently guard such a double threat. He could go on offensive tears while the other team is trying to sub in a defender to handle what kind of game they think he'll play. He would demand more double teams, thus allowing easy buckets for everyone else on the team.

Jazz will have sucky luck in the lottery and pick Doug McDermott. He will go on to win rookie of the year. Book IT!
 
I'm on the McDermott band wagon.
But he will fall in between Jazz picks.
Would anyone take him with the 9, 10 ,11 pick?
How high would you be willing to pick him?
 
If I was DL, I would draft him at 9. When everyone boos, I'd tell them wait for two years and you won't boo...wait, isn't that what we were fed when they drafted Hayward.
 
He's a 6' 8" senior with a terrific arsenal of shots.
He should be ready to play from game one.
 
I think the Jazz will be looking at Vonleh and Gordon. Vonleh is like a Rashard Lewis stretch-4, and Gordon is a physical combo forward like Josh Smith.

We still don't have a first option on offense though.
