This is a great point. Snyder is going to have to pick his spots with him perhaps early on, and then ideally as he improves, he can be a guy Snyder can actually rely on even in close games.
Yep, we will have to find the balance between short-term goals and long-term objectives this year. Also when we say that Quin has had success with developing young players, lets be fair about it - he has had success developing young players who were good enough to deserve enough playing time to develop. I don't think anybody would argue right now that Exum deserves more than 15 minutes a game playing time purely on his current level of play. The question is, would Quin be willing to sacrifice some wins in order to get Exum some developmental playing time. And if he's not willing to do it in the pre-season, would he do it in the regular season? I am beginning to be a bit skeptical.
