Pro Basketball Analysis: Utah Jazz, Continuity

Nice video. Fun to watch

Really cool video, thanks for posting.

It sure is nice to see ball movement and an actual offense again. It makes the games so much more watchable for me, even if we're not winning all the time.

I learned a ton from that video.

1st - exum you can see is still just running through the play. there was a couple of times if he had attacked it would have been an easy 2 and his head was up looking for some one topass to.

2nd - I see why it has taken time to get the offense going. I see the offense being a lot better next year. every one on the team needs to be able to pass.

3rd - kanter is not a great fit for this offense. a lot of times plays died after he touched the ball.

4th - I have been a little to harsh on Burke but the jazz do not need an atypical point guard to run the offense. it touches a lot of people hands. I think a shooting pg would be a better fit.

5th - the offense flowed better when Rudy was in the game

6th - Hayward is a stud.

The Jazz definitely want and need their PGs to be shooters. This was the rationale for passing on MCW and probably Dennis Schroeder to pick Trey. I agree with others that Burke will be a very solid back-up PG, assuming he's willing to play that role. I think Raul Neto could probably do about as well, however.

These plays would be much more effective if our guards and wings were better shooters. That would put much more pressure on the defense.
