What's new

Props to that zoob

Two offensive coordinators with an extremely limited amount of coaching experience who haven't really studied or coached in any other school or system...

And you're surprised they both suck?

Well to BJ defense. He has a backup QB (Maybe the worst starting QB in the Pac12?) and a backups at RB. When Utah gets any kind of offense going they are really good.

Johnson used to be really impressive orchestrating no-huddle. I think it's better to start fundamental and simple than guns blazing with clown calls and turnovers and grow with the job. I haven't seen anything call-wise to suggest his hiring was a bad idea yet, even if obviously it isn't a terribly ideal one.

Good post.

No idea what people are freaking out about.

I'm not freaking out about Brian Johnson, and I understand that there will be a learning curve. I'm not suggesting he needs to be removed, but he has been underwhelming so far. I'm guessing it's going to be more glaring against conference opponents. Utah didn't win last night because of the offensive play calling. They won because of their defense, primarily.

That being said, if I trust anyone to pick it up quickly, it would be Johnson. But he is not that great, at this point.
