Proud of Ryan - accountability works

Following the whiff on Cody Williams, who may still turn out to be serviceable but... yikes, it was pretty interesting to see Ryan/Danny's response. They fired two lead scouts, and they essentially demoted JZ by bringing AA over. The result? The Jazz have their best draft in years, potentially in franchise history.

Good to see accountability for outcomes - that's the culture you want, and I'm proud of Ryan for leading in that fashion. No one was fired over the Exum pick, nor the Burke pick (although that may have contributed to parting ways with Ty.)

Remember when Ty Corbin took over as head coach just because he was third in command without he FO interviewing other candidates?

He had to have been our worst HC ever.

And we had a decent roster too.

Those were some dark days.

Best draft in franchise history?

You gotta see some results before tossing out stuff like that. Hell, you have to see some results before you even call it a good draft.

Folks weren't bashing the Exum pick on draft day either.

It’s definitely premature to call it a best ever. I definitely feel a LOT better about getting Ace after a tank season than I did when they drafted Exum tbh.

Can you even imagine if DL had just drafted Giannis and Gobert in 2013? That would’ve been the best draft of any team. . . maybe ever.

Yeah, that would've the GOAT front office draft performance.

It was crazy good with just Gobert (a pretty easy #2 in a re-draft) and we went in with #14/#21/#46.
