Question about Hayward's contract

I apologize for starting another Hayward thread but I didn't want this getting lost amongst the refuse that is 95% of the Hayward posts.

Do we have to structure the 63M the same way the Hornets did in their offer sheet that he signed? Or can we front some bonus to him and frontload the hell out of the salary portion according to as much is allowed by the current CBA?

The principal terms have to remain EXACTLY the same. So nothing can be changed in terms of the salaries, length or the opt out clause.

When you say salaries, you mean on a year-to-year basis, or in total worth?

Year-to-year. Utah matched a signed contract; they didn't write up a new one.
