Quotes After The Game: John Wall Special

How come this fool doesn't get fined for criticising the refs? What a cry baby ,

Come to think about we will hear Christina Paula crying just like him in the first round

He will... will come later in the week.

Wiz fans were crying a lot during the game as well. If I'm being honest, we definitely got the benefit of the doubt in this game from the refs. This is why I hate Silver's NBA, as we are back to where we used to be with David Stern's worst years, where games are called in a less than honest way. I honestly believe there is an agenda in most games for refs to influence things one way or the other. That doesn't mean anything is fixed, but a large percentage of games are being reffed in a way that is less than equal to both sides.

Having said all that, every team finds themselves on the receiving end of unfair calls, and the elite teams are the ones who understand that on some nights, they have to beat a team even when they are getting help from the refs. The Spurs have mastered this for a long time, no doubt because they have a coach who understands the lay of the land.

Last year Rudy struggled a lot, and to me the biggest reason was frustration from the refs making it rough on him to play his game. If you watch his game this year, he has adjusted to the point where he spends a lot of time faking like he might block a shot, only to wait for an easy rebound. A lot harder to call cheap fouls on him when he plays such a smart game. There are certainly still games when the refs call several cheap fouls on Rudy early, but no doubt he has earned a lot more respect from the zebras and I expect this to continue. Rudy Gobert is establishing himself as a true star in this league and it's a ****ing thing of beauty.:D
