I've been beating this horse's corpse... That's the MAIN reason Wemby is so inconsistent and has to resort to jacking threes... There's no actual system... We playing pick up basketball while other teams are running actual sets where their star players consistently get the ball in their spots

It’s crazy to me that Utah has Markannen, Collins, and Filipowski. They literally have three of the same archetype of player this team needs.

We had 3 or 4 fouls on threes. That's 9-12 freethrows. Collins is ing worthless and when you play him with Johnson, it's probably one of the worst lineups in the league.
Post game
For me the most shocking block was a Lauri Markkanen 3 pointer. Just casually blocking a 7 footers jumper on the perimeter.
Close to a triple double with no assists. Dude had 0’s in two of the five stat categorys
This game felt so weird, it felt like we had great games from Castle, Vassell and Wemby, but everyone else kinda sucked, including CP3. It was really promising for our young core moving forwards, and I felt like we had some really solid plays, but it culminated in a loss to the Jazz, so it's hard to feel too good about it. Idk, weird game, but fun to watch.
We are the least talented team in the nba for sure .
Also, I just wanted to comment on CP3's fit with this team. Maybe it's low hanging fruit since this might have been his worst game for us, but it should be pointed out that CP3 isn't getting wemby better looks. Teams are just switching every pick and roll between him and Wemby and they can't do much out of it. CP3 has severely slowed down the Spurs pace, limiting the Spurs easy buckets and forcing them to play a lot more in the half court with little success. The turnovers are as bad (or worse) than last season. So really, he's not helping Wemby and the Spurs are playing slower without the benefit of fewer turnovers. Just hasn't been a great fit thus far. This is all my opinion of course, but it's been clunky to say the least.
A home loss to a 1-7 team is a bad loss and needs to be seen as a bad loss.
Also, Filipowski had a nice game considering he was taken 24 spots after the pick the Spurs decided to delay for 7 years because it's not like they need any more help now.
My humble thoughts:
1. McDermott and Murray were represented in the house.
2. If you want to get on the Jumbotron wear a sparkly shirt
3. Stadium was packed save some odd rows of empty very good seats
4. When I saw them last year in person, Vic made a play I could not fathom a player could make, he jumped way high and reached behind him three feet to grab a board, then immediately went back up and dunked it. Nothing like that this game, seemed much more human, though his timing on contesting jumpers was quite good.
5. I wondered early if Mitch has ever challenged a call, there were at least 3 I saw that I would have considered.
6. Watching your team brick 6 or 7 3s in a row sucks.
7. CP3 looked off, faked a shot then threw a turnover to the opposition right in front of me, it seemed like an obvious, very bad read.
8. Devin looked great for the most part. Crowd all seemed to know it was his first game back.
9. Only Wemby seemed to rebound well tonight, and that is not nearly good enough.
10. There was a span of maybe two minutes where everyone was moving, Castle was the main beneficiary. Other than that on many possessions we stood around, which sucks.
Jazz are much better than their record indicates but **** man we should’ve won w a bunch of us playing so well. We lost due to John Collins scoring at will when we didn’t have a 4 to guard him. We’re really missing Jeremy.
Apart from the to's, the Jazz are actually a ridiculous match-up for us, they're size gives us so many issues
