I think Lopez is gonna camp out by the 3 point line. Which might be ok. He won't have much luck scoring against Gobert inside and he'd get him out of the paint.
Man, Derrick Favors is too big for Rondae. That’s a crazy assignment.
I know this is obvious but the Nets and Jazz started going in different directions the day of the DWill trade. Loved it at the time, but now
Are we really about to put Trevor booker in to guard Gobert?. OH now it’s acy against Favors. Much better…
WTF ingles knocked that how the f*** is that a travel blind *** refs
Utah's length is bad for our starting lineup. I think Booker should've started this game just because of matchups.
gordo just dunked all over our team
George Hill is single handedly beating us
I am a big fan of how the Jazz play. They feel like a throw back team from the 90s
Hill has 14 points on 3 shots. jazz have a hundred dunks. we are playing hard but need to make them work harder to score
There is no run for Gordon. He is a clear max player. Ten teams in the league would offer him max. Only reason he would chose us is if he is a super fan for Juniors Cheesecake.
Man i'd love to have hill on this team. he would be a perfect fit for Kenny/Marks. 2 way player, good charecter guy, can stroke it from three, handles the ball, super high bbiq, can penetrate and finish, can defend multiple positions, competitive. too bad he is going to command such an insane salary.
Joe ingles is the ultimate professional
Hill has 19 pts on 6 shots. Lin has 2 pts on 3 shots. Can we stop pretending they are the same level player. Hill is rag dolling Lin right now.
Hill has that build where I think he will age well. I would love to have him here since he is among the top defensive PGs in the NBA also.
We gave up 38 points in the 1st quarter. We couldn't defend a slice of cake from an ant.
Utah looked like a real team out there. played for each other. Theirs look more like a motion offense than ours, a lot of off-ball movement and (effectively) passing around.
Hill is simply outplaying our PGs
Utah is extremely good at exploiting mismatches
Hill is a really good player. I never thought moving him for Teague was good for Indiana, and I think they are realizing that now.
Hey Mr. Hill. I hear you want about 20 million a year, we will give you that and free reigns to whatever you want!
Would kill for Hill. severely underrated in this league. He just knows how to play and how to win
Hair Gordon is still the best
Gordon Hayward's tryna dunk on the whole League.
Damn!!!!!! Hayward with the monster dunk
That Hayward hammer made me switch to the MLS opening game
Jesus Christ. I just tuned in to see Hayward reap our soul
Watching the Jazz and all I can think about is how awesome it would be to poach their free agents
The Jazz are the teamost I want to emulate, not the Spurs. I want to have the same two athletic big frontcourt and prioritize defense.
nets scrub roster vs. jazz team of quality players. lets not pretend if we trimmed our rotation we compete with those guys
Man I wish we still had Favors, he's extremely underrated.
Every time i see the Jazz play, i regret the D-Will trade.
Utah looks like champions tonight against the Nets.
Gordon Heyward reaches out to Kobe Bryant last summer and works on his game with him. And people think a guy like that is going to sign a max contract with the Nets? Guys like Heyward don't take mercenary contracts from scrub teams, guys like that want to compete for championships. He's a go getter! He isn't like a Deron or Joe Johnson. Please, never, ever mention his name as a possible free agent target again folks. Thanks.
Beggars can’t be choosers, and the Nets are certainly beggars in a season where something as simple as a two-game win streak seems inconceivable.
The Jazz assisted on 25 of their 38 made field goals (also 51.4 percent), compared to 12 assists on 36 field goals for Brooklyn (40.4 percent).
I usually don't see Lin get beat so many times on defense, not even by elite PGs. But tonight, Hill dominated him and every other Nets PG. Gobert was throwing some dirty screens. They just abused him back and forth. Good on him for trying to keep up, but feel like he should've gone under a few times and just dared Hill to go for 3.
This is one of the most demoralizing games i've seen in recent times.
I'm at a loss as to how the team attacks. There's a lot of charging into the lane, kick out, pass to the open man...who then proceeds to charge the lane again. The Jazz interior is pretty solid and has length on us, so this seems to be a recipe for disaster. Also, our picks are pretty atrocious. That, and Gobert seems to get away with some ridiculous hip checks, shuffles, and suspicious contact - which gives Hill pretty much clear lanes to the basket every single time.
its boring watching us get beat every time, its boring watching our players get dunked on, its boring watching us give open backdoor cuts for layups, its boring watching our atrocious pick and roll defense, its boring watching us miss open shots and the opposition drain fade away contested buzzer beating threes, its boring watching us lose…… that win against a terrible kings team was great, everyone looked pumped and ready before the game, but that was only our tenth win this year….
George Hill did it all against the Nets. He made shots from everywhere on the floor and did a great job of setting up his teammates as well. Hill seemingly could do no wrong, scoring 34 points on a blistering 10-of-12 from the field. He was the leader for the Jazz, both on the court and in the box score. He hounded the Nets on defense as well. With nine minutes left in the fourth quarter,*Jeremy Lin*had already picked up four*fouls, mostly from guarding Hill. George Hill is one of the most underrated players in the league. So, Hill to the Nets this summer?
Throughout the game, the Nets had trouble finishing and dribbling inside. While the Jazz only had five blocks in the game, Nets players were met with long arms and wide bodies every time at the rim.*Rudy Gobert,*Derrick Favors, and*Boris Diaw*gave the Nets a hard time every time they probed into the paint. Utah’s guards would generate pokes and slaps to the ball that deterred the Nets. Even on defense, the Nets struggled with the jumbo frontline of the Jazz. The Jazz are a dangerous team to watch as the playoffs approach.
