A lot more energy to start this game I like it
Very poor start from PG, very good start from Pat Bev.
Want PG to be as locked in as hes been saying he is. We really need him to come good for us and silence the doubters. Things like that dont really put his mentality in the right place for me, had missed a few shots and passed prior to that and the choice to blame younger Zu for not catching a poor pass doesnt sit all that well with me. Not hating....just observing and calling how I see it

Oh absolutely. I've never met a Jazz fan that was a douche either. It's always Houston and...well we all know the other one.

I know it's just preseason, but damn, it doesn't look like we are going to win much.

Okay I am not the only one nervous about this season? People keep saying we got better but I still feel kinda nervous. Xmas day is where I will make my judgement.
OK, so here's the thing. This is not a championship-caliber team. It's an 8 to 5 seed with the starters playing 38 min a night. Yes, it's pre-season. Yes, starters aren't playing full minutes, but up and down the roster it's simply not skilled enough to compete with other team's bench players. It was a calculated risk to let Trez go. That's fine. But the loss of Jamychal hurts so much more. He was one of the basketball "smarts" guys in the second unit. Kennard is more than a step back from Sham defensively, he's six feet! And the worst part is that it's hard for everyone to score outside of Lou. The can't even just go out and play basketball and throw the offense away. And Fi is not ready for prime-time at all. Jackson is selfish, he's not gonna help (he had a 4 on 1 and took it straight to the basket instead of passing to an open man). I mean, we're looking at so much on Kawhi's shoulders just to get a top 4 seed IF that. And there is no joy. There is no fun. There is no legitimate energy. The team isn't fun to watch! Even in pre-season look like you wanna be there! And good god, don't get me started on how much Batum hurts the team when he's on the floor offensively...
This may be only preseason but it looks dismal and it's mighty hard to feel enthused. Hoping we are not going to have a whole season of "new coach" excuses.
