Oddly, I think no Ayton helps tonight

Gobert will need to get out to defend 3pt shooters which will open up the driving lanes

Can’t wait for this slugfest between two of the top defensive squads in the league. I very happily picked the under on Bovada’s 213.5 pts.

Who’s Royce O’Neal? They don’t start Joe Ingles???? Thought he was one of their top 4 players…

O’Neal is a gritty undrafted player who can defend positions 1 to 4 (stretching it a bit… Depending on the matchups) and shoots the three at a good level. He fulfills the role of low usage 3&D player at a low cost to the Jazz, a good part of his value is his contract.

Donovan Mitchell has played like a top 10 player so far,
so that might be incredibly difficult. We’ll see.

I feel like Bogdanović is gonna murder is us tonight.

Booker struggling to get his shot. Gobert is a pain in the *** on defense.

Quinn Synder looks like Wormtongue.

9 fouls in the first quarter vs the Jazz having 4 fouls. Refs are trying to wear the Suns down into submission.

Refs giving a lot of whistles in Utah's favor.

So many whistles

Between the Suns' fouling, the Jazz's turnovers and both teams shooting 36%, this one has been a chore to watch so far.

8-0 run by Utah to end the half, brutal...

Rubio being such a lousy shooter is going to be huge problem for us going forward. Also Cam Johnson is a bust.

Oubre can be so frustrating but when he’s good...god damn is he good.

What’s the record for missed shots, fouls, and turnovers? All could be in danger tonight

Gobert is dpoy for a reason

I literally think there is a foul called every possession

Sloppy ball handling by Mitchell. (about Mitchell’s low blow technical foul)

Flagrant 1 on Donovan Mitchell.
Baynes clanks 2 free throws.

Yeah, Utah is pretty legit. Wouldn’t be surprised if they come out the West, they’re that good.

This Utah team is much improved from the other years. Bogdanovic is huge for them, before Mitchell had all the offensive responsibility in his shoulders what makes him to take a lot of bad shots, he dont need to do that anymore.
They are deep too.
Hard game, but good experience for our guys.

Two nut punches in one game lol

Rubios offense is less than desirable tonight

Rubio’s 1 of 17 outside 3 feet this season.

Mitchell is so annoying

Gobert is an annoying pest in the center

Bogdan was a great pickup

The Jazz got a few good pickups. Bogdanovic, Conley, that one ref over there, the other ref in the back, and of course the head ref.

Apparently Baynes is the strongest person in the world and even getting touched by him caused someone to lose their balance and fall over.

Bogdonovic > Jordan

We are the Rodney Dangerfield of the NBA

Maybe I shouldn't have turned the game on. I think that's 5 straight possessions with a Suns foul and FTs for Utah.

Suddenly Gobert thinks he's Steve Nash at the line.

This officiating is comical.

Is this a Jazz/Suns game from the 90s?? I remember those games were usually pretty ugly.

Jazz are allowed to run over Suns players on drives.

Suns ahead? Time for the refs to go to work.

Kaminsky passed up an open 3 so Carter could clank one.

JFC that never gets called in the last second. Wow

1.8 seconds left. Wtf!

How many layups have the Suns missed?
They’re all worried about Gobert instead of just going strong to the rim and getting to the line.

Beautiful scoop shot by Rubio with 8 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists.

How are you supposed to play defense if Gobert keeps getting bailed out by the refs?

Baynes fouls out. Can't touch Gobert.

Gobert has barely been touched on ALL his fouls.

Suns have no answer for Bogdanovic.

I would appreciate it if Carls Jr tried to be a less porn like in their commercials

I just feel like that call, foul or not, wouldn't get called on any other team in that situation.

This one really hurts

Two losses, both by a single point, both with the refs taking sides against us. I don’t know whether to feel proud or furious.

As frustrated as I am with MLB umpiring, at least I have the NBA officiating to remind me that it could be worse.

Well the total screwjob is finished

Wow
That was a stupid ending

I am really growing to love carter and Baynes.
gobert just kills us.
losses like these really make me mad at ayton.

In the end, Utah still loses... after all, they paid Mike Conley $32M for 1 pt.
Wonder if they wish they kept Rubio.

Tough loss.
Truths becoming more and more evident each game:
Monty Williams can coach.
Jevon Carter can defend and make big shots.
Kelly Oubre can bring infectious energy.
Aron Baynes can contribute.
Mikal Bridges can bring fundamentals.
Ricky Rubio can't shoot or take care of the ball.
Dario Saric can't play.
Cam Johnson can't keep up with NBA level athletes.
Devin Booker can carry the team, but he can also let the team down at the worst possible times.

Oh give me a **** break. Why wouldn't they have called timeout? Also, not checking the time left in the game? These refs all need to be fired.

How the hell can the refs just negate a final possession by not checking the time.

A this point I feel like the whole league needs to be investigated by the FBI for selling a fake product

What was the FT discrepancy in the fourth quarter? 16 to 2? Did we just hack the entire fourth quarter? Are we just the most physical team in the league? This is ridiculous, I feel like I got punched in the stomach.

Jazz had 39 FT attempts and score 32 of their 96 pts from the FT line. That means exactly a 1/3rd of their points came from FTs.

**** the refs. I hope they all get herpes.

**** the Four Corners states

Mike conley looks like a lobster with that whack hair

Now you know why the Jazz grew weary of Ricky Rubio
He’s too often on the knife’s edge, just barely in control. You can never know if his next move is a pinpoint pass or a pinheaded turnover. For all of his intangibles, for all of his "crafty" subterfuge, he is consistently haphazard. He’s the downhill skier on one ski who is either going to hold his edge or fly into the trees. Is Rubio helping you win the game or making you lose? I can never tell, because the scale between good and awful is in perfect equilibrium, a lingering riddle that decides if your next reaction is delight or despair. After four games this Rubio quirk is only slightly annoying and still fascinating to watch. After the 100 or 1,000 games the Jazz must have witnessed, the temptation was probably too great to grab him by the man-bun and hammer-throw him over the Wasatch Range.

That's a nice analogy. Good to see the refs managed to piss everybody off.

Refs gave the Jazz the first and the 4th quarter's, and the Suns the second and 3rd quarters. They were atrocious, but fairly evenly atrocious. Not checking the time was bad though. No reason to not go back and look at that.

Suns fans are right not to be pissed about the refs not checking the clock. After the decade or so of what they have been through, this season must be a roller-coaster of emotions.

Yeah the refs were truly horrible today across the NBA for the most part. If the refs pulled what they did to us, as they did with the Suns by not adjusting the clock in the final seconds, as they should, and not allowing a time out, I'd be furious.

Today just left a bitter taste in my mouth, and the refs had a lot to do with it. They're making themselves too important at the moment. And the bloody last thing I want to talk about is the refs.

Look at Conley, misery loves company.
Bogdan was a great pickup
Ya hack!!
Edit: he plays for the kings. Lol almost missed it.

The jazz as I recall were called for quite a few charges.
I just feel like that call, foul or not, wouldn't get called on any other team in that situation.
That was a clear and obvious foul. Not where the suns got screwed.
In the end, Utah still loses... after all, they paid Mike Conley $32M for 1 pt.
Wonder if they wish they kept Rubio.
Damn?! I wasn’t aware he got $32M a game, good for him.

Yep I got the feeling in the first two minutes that those arseholes were going to ruin the game, they didn't disappoint.

I'd usually agree to let teams play for the final shot but Mitchell was clearly hacked before laying up the ball 100% impacting his release.
