That is true, but if you look at what Rudy gave us at the same point in his career as Kesler is, Rudy was no where near as good as Kesler is. I'm interested to see where his progression ends up.I love Kessler and hope he continues to improve. But we have been getting destroyed at the rim and on our rebounding throughout this season. If we had Rudy we would be in the hunt right now for winning the West. Kessler is no where close to giving us what Rudy gave us at this point.
Yeah there isn't a lot that makes me miss Rudy right now. Kessler is more than filling those shoes. He's getting better game by game too. I would have never thought a rookie drafted in the 20's would have filled even 10% of Rudy's shoes let alone almost make him irrelevant. Definitely the gem of those trades and might end up being the 2nd best thing we got behind Markkanen. Depends on if the pick ends up being top 3. Even then there is a chance Kessler is the better prize. As a jazz fan, I love Kessler. Those draft picks were originally the main prize from that trade but Kessler is proving to be a real keeper. From a basketball fan standpoint, I feel for Minny. They could’ve had a defensive anchor at a fraction of the price had they just kept Kessler.
I disagree. Kessler is giving us at least 50 percent of what Rudy gave us and he comes at a fraction of the cost. The big observation is that the twolves had him and didn’t need to trade for Rudy. Im sure they’d prefer 50 percent of Rudy on a rookie contract and keep all those picks. Im glad the trade is working out for us. I do feel for Rudy and the Twolves. I love Rudy and want to see him win a chip at some pt. The twolves, like the Blazers, are a franchise that’s had tough luck. I have nothing against them. I’d rather see them win a chip or two at some point before I see the warriors, lakers, or nets wnI love Kessler and hope he continues to improve. Agreed. Kessler is a stud. Hope he stays healthy and continues to improve.Yeah there isn't a lot that makes me miss Rudy right now. Kessler is more than filling those shoes.
