There's an argument there. But not one i care to take up.

In my eyes, you can change your political opinion, you can't your generic makeup. At least not easily

I agree (although there is still such a thing as "passing", it's always been rare). I was referring to the power dynamics.

Oh man I am so glad you came along. I swear to high heaven that pile of broken bones that was once a dead horse twitched. You have even gotten to nitpicking at people that are more on your side of the fence. Easy up buddy. Release the throttle just a little.

At least she actually cared about her family enough to get the out of Chicago. How many other black mothers there don't give a damn and let their children be raised by the gangs? ......

I think she should be commended for not contributing to the problem. Many of those cities over there are just complete dumps, in part from horrible parents from the black community. The violence, crime, and drugs in Chicago is just insane

Tell me, Thrilla. How much of the, ahem, 'gang-problem', or rather, the hostile environment of black-dominated inner-city communities, can be attributed to the poor parenting of black folk?

As far as the thread is concerned, she is racist because she believes in a hierarchical construct of cultures purely based on skin colour. Her kids aren't allowed to play in the sun; she degrades black people in jokes she tells white folk.

It's too bad that she can't separate black skin from urban black culture. Root of the problem here IMO.

This is a great example of why we can't have a rational discussion on this issue.

1) When you agree to something (such as word usage or a true), you decide to break that agreement anytime it suits you. That allows you to keep the conversation from progressing.

2) You are so reflexively oriented to opposition, that when I make a post that starts with "I agree", and goes on to clarify what *I* meant, you somehow see that as nitpicking the *other poster*. Earlier, when I said that I would never cheer for the Jazz to lose a game, you quoted that in your announcement that you were now pro-tank.

3) You resort to broad descriptions of who you think I am rather than respond to the actual content of the post.

So, thank you very much for your post.

On the subject of the original post:

The woman is clearly a bigot who has internalized many racist messages and ideas.
