As I said, I understand completely why you can't be honest with yourself about your own motivations. However, a brush-off after the exhange doesn't alter the content of the exchange. It's your words that reveal your motivations, not anything I have said. Again, let me know if you need a list.

You know, at first I thought it was real rich that someone claimed he knew my emotions-- as conveyed by a keyboard-- better than I knew them myself;

but then I realized that this is the same poster who can't keep his emotions in line, and lets personal attacks slip out. So really, I'm realizing that I should just lower my expectations, and let him let off some steam.

Have at me, One Brow. You can go back to the personal insults if you like-- just want you to make sure that you feel better inside. If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know. Your psychoanalyses of me are almost as entertaining (and contribute as much to your case of intellectual-maturity) as your personal-attacks.

It's a wide-open thread. You came in telling me what I should be saying/how I sahould be saying things (even though you keep accusing me of saying things I haven't said). You just spent pages diverting the topic to what my race. What's stopping you from contributing something you think is meaningful on the subject?



1) I haven't attacked a single poster, nor will I. It's not my style. I expect you to keep repeating that falsehood, but that won't make it any more true.
2) I'm still waiting to hear an argument. I'm hearing a lot of tone-trolling, a lot of denial of things I haven't been accusing people of, a lot of diversions, but very little argument. Do you have an argument relevant to any of the points I'm trying to make?



What's your point, then? Bring it out, instead of worrying about how I say things.

You say that like it's unusual. Humans are very good at lying to themselves and rationalizing their past actions. We respond, and then explain our response, even to ourselves.

At any rate, I've already apologized over what I was sorry for, and I'm not going to be sorry for responding to your "playful" bullying tactics with derision and insults. Feel free to keep posting about the incident, though. It's amusing to see you pretend to be superior about it.

With the exception of my comments to dalamon in that one exchange, I have not insulted anyone, and that was in response to his aggression, not an attack. That you see any other attacks is your issue.

That you are in denial over you various attacks on various posters throught various threads is your problem, not mine.

I also like how you avoided the other parts I highlighted. Such as:

"instead of worrying about how I say things". That is something that occupies 50% of your posts. You thrive on disecting word choice and sentence structure in a vain attempt to find hidden meaning to support your claims. Often when there is no hidden meaning.

"You came in telling me what I should be saying/how I sahould be saying things" This comprises the other 50% of your posts. You are obsessed with controlling the dialouge on this issue, and any other you happen to be on some crusade for.

You sprinkle in personal attacks that are worded in flowery language in an attempt to disguise them. You fool no one except yourself.

In short the reply you quoted was me laughing at your monumental level of hypocrisy in a single post. It was so heavy that it is either intentional or a result of severe denial as to how you truly act on this board.

Instead, heyhey came in telling me that I was too aggressive, and if I were only nicer, people would listen. Being nicer has never worked in the past.

I'm trying to use language in a way that clarifies, not confuses. There is a difference between racism and racial bigotry. Your insistence that they are the same thing, and ignoring the distinction, results in a lot of posts over vocabulary.

So, let's be clear what I did not do, in this post or any other. I didn't try to tell you that if you said these comment more nicely, I'd listen to them. I didn't try to tell you how I do or should appear to you. I haven't leveled any accusations at you specifically or any other individual poster (given the aforementioned exception). Had I done those, your charge of hypocrisy would be valid. However, interesting enough, those are all comments that you have directed at me.

Reputations and strong declarations shape impressions and create false memories. That's how humans are, and why you can't find actual evidence for what you are convinced is true. That's why everyone is sure I've called you a racist, even though that never happened.
