Rank the Jazz' wing rotation

You mean, like, Finals MVP Iggy?
He was largely "meh" over the course of the regular season.

Our wings have to PLAY WELL TOGETHER to get this kind of love from me. Last year, Gordon's MADE FIELD GOALS were comprised of the lowest percentage of ASSISTED FIELD GOALS than in any previous season. Career low. Our other wings don't fully explain that, but they explain part.
Agree. We had a starting PG whose passing was primarily done from the top of the circle to someone else at the top of the circle. And Utah was missing Burks and Hood. I'd expect assists to go up.

Perhaps the Iggy of a few years ago. He's declined considerably and is now pushed back to the bench. He's 31 and is coming off the worst season of his career. I'd take Hood off the bench (or Burks) over Iggy in a heartbeat this season.

The tendency is to give relevance to what a player has done over the course of his career, not where the player is going to be performance-wise in '15-'16. I'd take Burks at SG this season over Kobe. And that's not saying Burks will be one of the best ever. It's just looking at what Kobe is likely going to do this season.

Sorry, I have to disagree. Kurr put him to the bench to save him for playoffs. He's just so freakin smart. What he does goes well beyond stats. Burks has good upside, but if I had to pick one of the 2 for next year I would pick Iggy. He's still got it.

I do, too, but it's largely theoretical at this point. Until the team demonstrates improvement ON THE COURT, then I'll continue to have my doubts. Right now, I'd say the assists might go up, but that might not be the result of the play on the wings. And since that's the point of this thread.......

I think the Jazz' wing rotation is/will be one of the best in the league. Just wondering how all of you may rank them in comparison to other teams.

Main 3: Hayward, Burks, Hood
Reserves: Ingles, Millsap (Johnson?)

Golden State has Thompson, Barnes and Iguodala. Very good - and perhaps I'm overvaluing Hayward and expecting too much from Burks and Hood - but I'm not sure GS' three are collectively much better (if at all) than our wings will be. Thompson is a better shooter than Hayward. Gordon does a lot of other things well. Edge to Thompson. I'd take Hood over Barnes and Burks over Iggy.

San Antonio with Leonard, Green and Ginobili is probably better based on previous performance. But with Ginobili aging, I think our trio could be just as good this season.
In my humble opinion, Hayward is better then any wing u mentioned. Hood and Burks will rise up fast. By the end of next year. Our rotation will be best in the NBA as far as what there is now. I'd put our rotation of wings ahead of both the Spurs and GS.

This is what pisses me off about the Exum injury. He will be a year behind the rest of this young core of talent. Also will Burke recognize the talent the wings on this team possesses. Or will he continue to dominate the ball?

I believe Burks will show a Poise and maturity beyond anything we've seen from him in years past on the court. I believe sitting out most of last year and watching and spending the time in the film room will pay huge dividends for this upcoming season for Burks. Wouldn't be shocked if he was comeback player of the year.

I'm excited to see the zero point guard lineup.
Hopefully Snyder experiments with that lineup in pre-season

That's dumb you dumby dumb dumb dumb. Who is Burks gunna guard? Geez, You don't know basketball. Just stop, just stop.

Yeah I'm excited too! :)

I think the majority of assists should come from our wings and guards, unless Rudy and Favors become remarkably different players. Offensive, and in turn assist, numbers will only improve this year if play from the wing improves. Whether that happens or not is up for debate.

First of all, Gordon outplayed Thompson head-to-head last year, and remember Thompson has Curry to make him seem better than he is. Our other two guys are hungry and coming up, so we'll have to see how they fare this season. Iggy is actually probably the best of the bunch if you go by his performance in the NBA finals, but he has reached his peak.
