Although, we're technically not done... but we'll go with day 1!

Ace: A
I am so glad the Fears potential was all smoke. I'm not saying Fears will be bad but getting Ace/Tre at 5 was a must. Ace has huge potential, explosion, great upside, and was labeled number 2 behind Cooper for a while.

Walter: B+
I watched a bunch of his March games. He was very clutch in a lot of them and was a huge reason they won it all. Excellent shooter that can get to his spot. We are extremely crowded at our guard position, I'd probably like him more on a different team but with his age and game, we'll be looking to give him a lot of run this season imo.

Overall I give it an A- .

While I'm a bit scared of missing on Ace, I'm so glad they made the pick. We took a swing to try and get a guy who could maybe be "the guy" and that's what I wanted most from this draft. A or A-

I probably would've stayed at 21 and seen who fell to that spot, but I think the Clayton trade and pick was really solid. He has a translatable NBA skill and with the moxy/clutch stuff maybe he becomes more than expected. There's obviously some overlap here with all are combo guards, but I'm not worried about that with a later pick. A- or B+

I'm very conflicted about this draft.

I'm not a huge fan of Ace, but I also don't know if I could have passed him up if I were the Jazz. I'm excited about his two way potential.

I love WCJ, but I just have this feeling that we passed on players who will eventually be better.
pretty much a copy-and-pasteable version of my thoughts.

Going forward, I'll remain on-the-fence until I see Ace in 30ish games. And I want to see the roster take shape before I allow myself to get even more confused about WCJ.

B.
I would have picked Tre and then stayed at 21 and kept our picks we traded and taken fleming but I had Ace as 1b (Tre 1a). I just feel really meh about Clayton in the first place and then add in the fact that we gave up 3 extra picks and there were guys available at 21 that I like a lot and it makes me not like that pick.

FWIW early on I had Ace as the #3 best pick in the draft and only moved him to 4 due to all the questions of his attitude.

Having the choice between Ace and Tre at #5 was the best outcome the Jazz could hope for, imo. Ace has bonafide star power, as much as anyone in the draft. I'd give this pick an 'A.'

I watched Walter Clayton in the tournament. He's a tough, fearless shotmaker who plays hard and with a lot of confidence. He's a culture setter. Obviously the Jazz had a lot of options with their 2nd pick, and there were a lot of solid players available to them. Given the Jazz's point guard situation, I might have gone with Traore, but it's clear that the Jazz care about shotmaking, and it's not clear they really want a traditional on-ball guard to lead the team. I'd give this a 'B+.'

Overall A.

Definitely went for the upside last night. Both Ace and WCJ will either be so good that they turn into perennial allstars(yep, WCJ too with his massive shot making upside) or so bad that they become basically unplayable when shots ain't falling.
