Jazz man Neto will be going against former Jazz player Arroyo when Brazil plays Puerto Rico today. The game is on ESPN3 at 2:20 PST. So 3:20 for you mountain people.

Go NETO!!!!

Arroyo was in his best shape last two years in Turkey and he played the best basketball of his career. But he is 34 years old now, Neto should outmatch him.

I really hope Neto to come to Jazz next season, he will be very good.

Don't care that much. Unless Burke turns out as a bust. He's my guy and sticking with him. To me it seems like he chose to not come over because he didn't want to compete with Burke.

Did he choose not to or did the Jazz choose not to? I don't remember how that played out

Dennis Lindsay already said it was the Jazz who chose to not bring him over.

Probably because they could tell he hated Utah.

Probably. But on a serious note Lindsay thought it would be too much of a challenge to bring in two rookie point guards and teach them the offense. So they chose to stagger him and Burke so they both get the attention they need for development.

I think its a smart move.

Anyone with Neto's highlight of this game will get significant Rep from this forum starving for some Jazz action.. lol

This.

And there is nothing wrong with the Jazz letting Neto to gain experience in Europe while giving Burke "We believe in you" message. Very smart move indeed.

My only concern is that another team may steal away Neto from the Jazz next year, though I remember reading somewhere that Lindsey said he hopes Raul Neto will be a long-time Jazz player.

Luckily Neto has a huge desire for the NBA.
