Was he injured? I know not bringing him over now was the JAzz' decision, but Neto's own reasoning was thinking he'd play more overseas. Someone should slap Neto's agent, because this was the perfect year as far as playing time. What if we draft Andrew Harrison, Marcus Smart, Dante Exum, or Kasey Hill next year? What if we trade for Rondo at the deadline? (In a recent interview, Lindsey said we didn't necessarily have to use our picks to draft someone, they could be traded for a proven player on rebuilding team).

And there is nothing wrong with the Jazz letting Neto to gain experience in Europe while giving Burke "We believe in you" message. Very smart move indeed.

My only concern is that another team may steal away Neto from the Jazz next year, though I remember reading somewhere that Lindsey said he hopes Raul Neto will be a long-time Jazz player.

No one can steal Neto away from the Jazz. The Jazz drafted him and still have his rights. Another factor for not bringing Neto over this year was that he still had one year under his contract.

The Jazz are not going to get Rondo without giving up Favors or Kanter which would be stupid considering how young the team is. Rondo is overrated on this board. He is a Diva and his jump shot is still suspect. The Jazz and their fans need to be patient with this team. I meant a stupid trade including Neto by the Jazz.
