What's new

Re: 2014 draft. I will be at UK over the next month.

Incidentally, the lineup I'm liking the sound of is;

Andrew (incredible PG that can both hit shots and get by his guy to finish or make the pass)
Aaron (40% perimeter shooter that can burn his defender and finish)
Young (40% perimeter shooter that can burn his man and finish)
Randle (can hit out to 3, take his defender off the dribble, and muscle ANYONE in college from day 1)
WCS (insanely athletic 7 footer that can also drive the ball and has good post play... and defense)

I guess so. Not sure I understand your question. For example... Andrew Wiggins wanted to play for a very good HS. He left his parents in Canada and lived with a 'host' family in WV so he could attend Huntington Prep.

Yeah but let's say that host family was a big UNC fan, and only watched UNC games, and Wiggins didn't have any parents... and he ended up choosing to play for UNC in college.

anything wrong with that scenario?

Nope.

Btw, Wiggins' host family were big UK fans.. that in no way eliminated UK from being able to recruit/sign him.

PKM i want to know about Marcus Lee and James Young

Marcus, does he have to put on weight or is he going to be effective skinny or hows that work? how fast are his feet compared to Noel and Davis'

James Young, just how good is his 3pt shot, what should we expect. i really like this player and am going to be be sad if he doesnt get showcased for minutes

whats the word on the improvements in Poythress, and WCS, also please tell me a fable of how Wiltjer has been improving his footspeed

that lineup sounds like the best one!

Wow.. you know your stuff.

Lee - He's a major energy guy. I think he'll have to gain weight for the league but will do fine in college. I don't see him getting more than 10 minutes per game this year. He'll be playing behind WCS and DJohnson. But he is an INCREDIBLE athlete.. nationally ranked volley baller and is known for his KILL shots.

Young is going straight stud. He'll shoot around 40% and will be tough to guard. I see him betting he sees 22 - 24 minutes per game.

Hearing good stuff about Poythress. Living in the gym and heard he's stronger than a bull. Apparently, the entire reason he was sluggish last year is he had no idea his handles were lacking and it shut down his whole game. He lost confidence putting the ball on the floor and it messed his head up entirely. He's been training on that tirelessly and word is his confidence is back. We'll see. He could have a hard time getting PT because Randle will EARN 40 minutes. I bet Poythress gets around 13 - 16 minutes.

WCS is working hard and Cal thinks he could be the best center in the nation this year.

Wiltjer is working hard on strength and quickness. People joke around that it's working but I think everyone knows there's just not much he can do to become a serviceable defender. He'll always be an incredible offensive player and a joke of a defender.
