OB does a lot of this too, like his comments on Section 8 that simply made no sense. When I pointed out he was wrong, he dug even deeper. Over and over again, and none of it made sense. You are doing the same thing regarding food stamp calculation. Instead of having a knee jerk reaction, please read through the entire link you quoted above. Qualifying for food stamps can be based on gross or net income, but the amount received is based on net income, which may include a deduction for rent/housing (which, depending on income level, may have a further reduction due to your housing costs if housing is greater than 50% of your net income). I can see why you are defending him. You are two peas in a dysfunctional pod.
From your above link:
Benefit Computation
Example
Multiply net income by 30%... (Round up)
Subtract 30% of net income from the maximum allotment for the household size...
$1,139 net monthly income x .3 = $341.70 (round up to $342)
$632 maximum allotment for 4 - $342 (30% of net income) = $290, SNAP Allotment for a full month
What part of this does not make sense to you?
He did not ask for clarification. He jumped on the numbers I didn't provide calculations for and used that as a knee-jerk reaction to deflect away from the fact his comments were incorrect (like Medicaid being increased by the ACA so raising minimum wage to $15 would have to effect when clearly he was wrong based on every Medicaid eligibility chart). He obviously cannot be wrong.
I think if you look at the history of my posts you find I don't get into these debates, because it is a waste of time (which was exactly why I got involved in this one. I had time to kill, and spent a ton of time on here over the past week). It is definitely not my norm as a quick search for my username will show. I only troll back to other trolls like huge man boobs. People that further discussions and give a good back and forth get the same treatment in return.
