I love Burks but....

But what? You've not made any argument. I'll tell you what I tell my 3 year old... Use your words.

I support the sentiment that Burks was underutilized in Moron's offense, and that we haven't seen all he can do.

Having said that, I also support trading him if it means getting Andrew Wiggins.

Nice to see the burks love

You want to give them Dwight Howard light (But better shooter) and Dwayne Wade light (but longer) + potentially another All-Star Player to Draft Poor Mans Melo, just because he is mormon ? (Jabari Parker)

Draft Marcus Smart, keep your roster together and let them build some chemistry. At todays Spurs, their was no Superstar or MAIN-MAN in this team. So stop the **** crying.

I'd prefer the W's 2017 pick sent instead of Burks. I agree that he could be a reliable 17+ppg scorer in this league in the very near future.

I'd also imagine the W's pick will likely be solidly in the 20's. It has the cache of being called a non-protected, and it's a gamble, but one I'd take to have our wings be Wiggins, Hayward and Burks.

I'd personally have no issue taking on Asik either to fill the gap left by Favors. Now I'm rambling...

What about this three-way trade with the Kings who are exploring options to trade the 8th pick? The Cavs take Wiggins at #1, Embiid slips to us at #5 where we take him and the following trade kicks in.

Cavs get 5th pick (Embiid), 8th pick (Vonleh, Randle, or Gordon may be there), 2017 GS pick

Kings get Kanter, 2015 protected (top 7) 1st from us

Jazz get 1st pick, Jack, Terry, Landry, Thompson

In essence, the Cavs get the guy they really want in Embiid but Vonleh (or Gordon or Randle) as well who he'd fit well with imo and who could act as insurance in case Embiid is plagued with these injuries. To nab those two guys and the GS pick and dump Jack is just too much to turn down if I'm the Cavs.

The Kings get Kanter (who Cousins had raved about), a projected high 1st from us, and dump about 18M in salary which was their goal in trading the 8th pick. Heck, to get Kanter and a 2015 1st back may feel great to them in the process.

The Jazz get Wiggins without giving up Favors or Burks and keep their future 1sts protected. We additionally get the vet leadership we could use.

Which of those teams doesn't do that deal?
