Report: Bynum for Jefferson?

Still doesn't solve the problem of free agency.

And the whole idea behind the wheel is to give everyone equal valued picks. Well, not every draft is created equal. Imagine if the wheel was already in place and the Jazz had the top pick in 2013 and a ****ty pick in 2014. I'd be so pissed...and it would be because that was simply the hand my team was dealt; there was nothing they could do about it. At least with tanking you can TRY to take matters into your own hand (like the Jazz are doing).

There are so many things I don't like about the wheel, hard cap or no.

No it's not. That's why you're guaranteed a top-six pick every five seasons and a top-12 pick every four. So there's something there for you to look forward to every 4-5 years. Plus you're guaranteed THE #1 pick every 30 years - when was the last time the Jazz got the #1 pick?

And guess what? When you're not busy trying to "tank" you've left yourself no choice but to try and "win".

*mind blown*

How about you get capped at 4 top 5 picks every decade. Once you hit the fifth year of futility, you can get, at best, a 6 pick. That would shake up tanking enough to make a difference. In poor draft years like last year, teams would be killing themselves to stay OUT of the top 5.
