And look at Assist to Turnover ratio for Centers. Guess who's #1?
I'll give you a hint: he plays for Utah and is often referred to as a "black hole."
Stop holding onto this stat Mo. We've all seen his play and it's not all about stats.

Yet, every other center in the NBA is not judged by the same criteria. Ball goes inside, it's a big's job to score.Stop holding onto this stat Mo. We've all seen his play and it's not all about stats.
I guess if Jefferson is a "black hole," then the same has to be said of Dwight Howard, Bynum, Hibbert, etc. None of those guys pass as much as Al, nor as effectively (i.e. more turnovers).
I made no claims about defense. I'll admit Jefferson is weak defensively. But referring to him as a "black hole" on offense is simply not the case when compared against other centers in the league. This is all I needed to read on your argument. Howard, Bynum, and Hibbert play WAY better defense than Big Al. Stats aren't everything, especially considering there primarily offensive. A center helps on defense more than any other player on the floor, therefore affecting that end of the floor more than any other player. If I am building a winning team, a defensive center is far superior to a offensive patty cake.

Which one do you like the most and/or think the actual Jazz depth chart will look like?
...well, any lineup we use with Jefferson on the floor is going to be weak, very weak defensively! Until we get rid of Jefferson....we might as well slit our throats and be done with it!
I believe this is exactly the reason the Jazz signed 3 very good defensive and offensive guards this offseason.
Marvin and Mo I believe will be the most effective at helping Jefferson out here.
Not to mention Favors will continue to be more dominant defensively as well.
Could it be that he and his uncle are asking for more than $10M/per? Everyone acts like a player will sign for exactly what we offer him. After seeing the deals for Wallace, Humphries and even AK, I'd be asking the Jazz for $14M if I were Millsap (and hoping to negotiate down to 4/$48M).There is no reason why the Jazz haven't signed Millsap to a 4 year 40 million dollar deal. The guy is clearly worth it, especially considering the Nets just signed Humphries for more than that.

That could very well be the case now. That's why I think Millsap is gone and Al will be here for a long time.
