Ricky Rubio / Eurobasket

I like Bogdan more than Bojan Bogdanovic. I think he will be a good player in the league.

Bogdan is clearly better than Bojan. He is my only homer pick that dind't turn out to be a bust yet. (Along with Thomas Bryant but he got drafted this year)

Half time: Spain up 51-29.

Ricky with 4 points (1/2 FG, 2/2 FT), 4 assists, 5 steals, 1 rebound in 11:33 minutes.

Is it that clear? I know Bogdan is more athletic and probably a better defender, but is it certain he is better offensively than Bojan?

A few times where Rubio has gotten into the paint and no one is really in front of him at 10 feet, but he has guys waiting at the rim. Just get a Tony Parker push shot and he is a decent scorer.

Spain are going to kill everybody, aren't they?

They might will all the players missing especially from France and Serbia.

Montenegrin coach might want to pull its starters still 4 more games to go to try to qualify for the next round.

Spain is missing several key players as well (Llull, Rudy, Ibaka/Mirotic, even a guy like Claver who was just starting to find his place in the NT), but they're just way deeper than anyone else in the continent.

The team wasn't at its best during the preparation games and not many people anticipated this one to be so comfortable. They gotta be cautious and stay focused, it's not gonna be a walk in the park even if they're clearly the favorites to win it all.

Tough shot to develop... so much touch. He could improve but I'm doubtful it would ever approach TP like effectiveness.

Yeah, Spain usually takes it pretty easy during prep games and comp is usually not to great. The benefit of this is that they should be quite fresh for the tournament that actually counts. They have a real easy group. Croatia the only team that should give them any competition.

So assuming Spain ends up winning the whole thing that means Rubio is going to be busy right up until a week before training camp starts. He won't have much time to join any informal workouts and get to know the Jazz players before training camp. Maybe that's not a big deal but it's always cool to have the players in town working out together.
