Local reporters have got more info since for sure. Tony Jones basically said he wasn’t sure immediately after WOJs report. Tony and Andy now basically say the issue is fairly significant. I do think part of this is Donovan and Rudy have never really clicked. I do wonder if part of Donovan doesn’t want the Jazz super-maxing Rudy and attaching his prime to Rudy. Neither Rudy or Donovan have been all that happy this season and I think much of it is between those two. I do think the Jazz may have to choose. It feels more to me like Donovan wants the Jazz to move on from Rudy more than it feels like Donovan wants to leave. Donovan is cool with the rest of his teammates by all accounts I’ve seen. And all his teammates are just kinda sitting back trying not to take a side. It’s Donovan vs Rudy right now....and I think Donovan wins that one. I also agree with you. Rn I don’t even see why Rudy would want to stay at this point tbh.
This sounds about right to me. But it’s also going to be about what each player can get the Jazz in return, right? Gobert might get us someone like Tatum, but would DM? So then the question is: which player could you see leaving l, and who would you like to see be the replacement. I mean, Tatum and DM as a duo would be incredible.

Rudy’s value is not going to be that high. Rudy is who they will trade for a multitude of reasons. You’re also not getting back anything close to a Tatum so get that pipe dream out of your head lol. Donovan could get the Jazz more as far as assets but there’s no way the Jazz are trading Donovan unless he absolutely demands it. Donovans valuable to the franchise and quite honestly the community in ways I think he’s pretty untouchable for a long time unless it’s him forcing it. I think Donovan’s here as long as Donovan wants to be here tbh.

0% chance the celtics trade Tatum for Rudy. They would trade us Gordo before Tatum
I do wonder. I have no idea who is in the ball park of Rudy salary wise. But I wonder who a team would trade for him. Again I think his value is okay but also not all that high in today’s NBA to trade too.

Yeah, I was just using Tatum as an example - no way the Celtics ever part with him. Just wondering what the best player coming in could be, and who do we parter him up with. So it’s not a just a question of Rudy or DM - it’s a question of what the best pairing would be.

I do find it very upsetting that when Joe ingles posts something Donovan, royce and conley and everyone will comment or like it.. even when Donovan posts something all the jazz guys reply and like... but when Rudy posts that he lost his sense of smell and taste... No comments or likes from any teammates whatsoever

We need Neto back... give Rudy back his friend.

Petty, unless the have a real reason to keep this up. If so, out with it already so we can move on with our lives... because they don't seem to want to move on.

It is strange. I’d like to know the reason. It’s been plenty long to let go of something small.

I like how they say they are acting like the reports are a joke but someone sent Woj that info lol.

Also, Tony Jones has a mailbag today, he seems pretty confident Donovan wants to be here and will be. Tony is certainly closer to guys like Royce and Donovan than Rudy. It will be interesting to see what happens with Rudy. I can’t imagine he’ll be happy at all in the end of this.

I think Holiday for Gobert makes some sense.

If they add an interior defender they take another leap. Maybe a major one. Ingram and Zion are clearly their two young studs. They still have Lonzo, Hart...Gobert for them would be huge.

And we could put Holiday next to Donnie. But our defense would be atrocious.

This is from Purple Mountains (Jazz blog) and Clint who some of you will know. Idk how great his sources are but I don’t think he would say this had he not got some info from someone close to the organization. Clint was straight up resisting what Woj said at first on twitter. By this snippet, if these sources are good it seems the Jazz know who they’re siding with if it comes down to it.

Honestly this is starting to remind me of the situation that made LaMarcus Aldridge want out of Portland when Dame arrived. I’m beginning to think more and more Rudy is not going to be here much longer.

I don’t want to give them Rudy. Lets put him in the East lol. Pelicans would be crazy good if they got Rudy.

Yes! Time to get 55 cents on the dollar for Rudy.

I'm down for Rudy for Myles Turner and something else.
Turner isn’t as good but an interesting thought. Idk if he still is but Turner was actually dating a girl from Utah and was here during the summer a bit last year. If you could get Turner and a pick or two of do it.
