I didn't watch the game but he's one of my fantasy nba players. In his page there is a pessimistic report bout his injury.

Is his injury serious? Any details? When can he be back?

According to Locke its plantar fascitis which favors had last year and missed a few games

A lot of players have it or have symptoms of it. It shouldn't be serious enough to prevent playing time by a huge amount (and there are players who have been able to play through the pain when absolutely needed).

But it probably is a worrying sign that Hood is being affected by it at this age. Eg. If he puts on more muscle/weight..it might be even more of an issue in future. Hopefully it isn't a long term thing and more just a result of having to adapt to extra physical demands.

According to the Tribune, Rodney Hood has died. Lethal Plantar Fascitis--very rare. More information to come. He was 22 years old. RIP.

Why you write more info to come when he's already dead. Rubbish trolling attempt dude.

It can be treated with heat and structural massage. The arch of his foot is too high, caused by lots of running in crap shoes without stretching. If he gets treatment and then takes care of himself, this shouldn't be a reocurring issue.

Not so serious injury but painful and with long recovery time. He should be able to play through it though just as Favors did.

As someone who recently had PF, I can tell you that 6 months after initial diagnosis it still hurts while running. Very annoying and persistent. I ran across this article: https://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2014/09/15/heel-pain-treatment/ recently. Someone pass it to Hood fast!
