Ronnie Brewer Resents Utah Didn't Try to Bring Him Back

Are you kidding? Watch ANY game where Brewer had to catch the ball at mid-court or so and dribble. He freezes up and looks lost. I don't care what role he played in college. He can't dribble. What point guard dribbles the ball past his shoulders, or bounces it 12 feet out in front of him if running? Post up a single video of Brewer dribbling with skill.
I don't care enough to look for one. But anyone wants to post a clip of him dribbling much at all, that would be great. I remember Brew more for slashing the baseline--which is more about lulling the defense to sleep--and only occasionally missing jumpers. I don't recall him dribbling much at all.

Brewer was a poor ballhandler. Very sloppy. The guy can find seems in the defense to get easy baskets, make a pretty pass, and get steals in the passing lanes. There is nothing good about his game beyond that. Frankly, I think the Bulls overpaid.

Getting a #1 for Brewer was, in my mind, a brilliant maneuver by KoC. As has been noted, that #1 was used as an additional asset to get us Big Al. I liked us drafting Brewer, but he seemed to be maxed out here; wasn't getting any better. As far as re-signing him after Memphis turned him loose... I think Jeffers may actually have more upside; unlike Brewer, he does seem to be improving his game. The Jazz certainly weren't about to offer Brewer the big contract he was after which led to his trade in the first place...
