Bolmaro has not been lighting it up in the FIBA tourney.
Coaching staff loved him in SL because of his defense primarily but also his handle and facilitating. Pretty sure he’ll get some minutes at the one this year. Obviously needs to work on his shooting.I don't get the Bolmaro love. I watched a lot of Wolves games last year. I am super high on Vanderbilt. He will be a fan favorite quickly. Beasley might lead the team in scoring. Bolmaro was straight trash. Never flashed anything.
Don’t forget about Paris Bass, he’s a goner for sure!Still a number of trades in the Jazz future. Have to think that JB, Stanley Johnson and NAW would all be on the hot seat because they’re on relatively cheap, expiring contracts. I’d imagine that the Jazz would try to trade them into somebody’s cap space or a trade exception before just cutting them loose.
Sexton/Bolmaro/Butler/ConleyWhat do you guys expect the roster to be to start the year
Great. Now we have a coaching staff dumber than a bag of rocks.Coaching staff loved him in SL because of his defense primarily but also his handle and facilitating. Pretty sure he’ll get some minutes at the one this year. Obviously needs to work on his shooting.
He's not on a guaranteed contract, so nobody's really counting him to start with.Don’t forget about Paris Bass, he’s a goner for sure!
Yeah, agreed. I've bought into the 6-6 PG with very good defense hype. But, and it pains me to say, he's just so far from being a threat on offense that I won't be surprised if the Jazz don't see anything there in him.About a week ago Jake Fischer mentioned on his podcast that Bolmoro's name has come up in trade rumors lately. If any end of bench guys need to be moved, he'll likely be the first to go. Kind of a shame because I like his overall game, though his shooting and finishing at the rim need a lot of work.
I went looking at contracts around the league that might even work in these kind of deals. There's virtually none left in the league that are imaginable besides Westbrook's. Cavs have Love's contract, but they like what he brings and I think he's finally expiring. They'll see no need to get off his contract.I suspect that trader Dan is looking for a three or four for one trade. OKC is in the same numbers spot the Jazz are. The Cavs might be a likely partner in an endeavor like this. They held a veteran's free agent camp this week looking for training camp invitees.
Sure, they'll try that. I just don't see a lot of realistic options. Most teams with either cap space or exceptions aren't looking to add players at this point, much less one of these guys, I suspect -- maybe Johnson as he can at least perform in a low usage role and bring defensive value. Guess we'll see, but it won't surprise me at all if we have to end up just waiving two or more (if other trades are made) players before the season starts.Still a number of trades in the Jazz future.
