Alright... assume we keep JC and waive one of TB or Ed or do a trade where we consolidate them into one player and we'd have 8 roster spots spoken for. Also assume we use our first round pick, sign at least one veteran, and add one more guy either as a prospect in the second round/undrafted or add one more vet. We are up to 11 roster spots spoken for.

Which G League/Non-guaranteed guys do we keep? Thought it might be fun/different to vote and cut the guys one by one. Vote for the 1 guy you'd cut first. The last 4 remaining are the official list of guys Jazzfanz would keep. Assume non of these guys will accept a two way deal... so they are either on the regular roster or they out this bitch.

One note - I think Niang is an NBA player and is very likely on our roster unless we traded him for something... I kept him on here because he has a bunch of haters.

NWG and JWF are gone in what is obviously an anti-hyphenated name bias... who is next?

And where is Bradley? Jazz have cut fully guaranteed guys before. It's not unheard of.

Well... I think they will either keep one of TB or Ed or trade them both for one guy... so you net a roster spot. Honestly... I'd keep TB over Tucker anyway and I am not a huge Bradley fan.

I am more using this to get a sense with how folks value our projects... and Niang. I know we ended up relying on Georges a bit too much because of the Bojan injury, but the hate has really gone too far on him. Dude is an NBA player.

Needs a "no cut" option
I'll add a no cut option on the next one. I don't see us keeping all those guys and I think Brantley will get a normal NBA deal, so a two way is likely not gonna keep him around. I know you aren't a big fan of his. I think he could be a difference maker defensively and he has some good things on offense.

Yeah, but the poll isnt about what you think.....

And for Ed I think we can give like 3.5M and send him to portland for their trade exception... they will operate over the cap and it gives them a Dame favorite and a minimum salary. I'd rather see us poke around and see what we can get for Ed and Tony if we aggregate their salaries and find a guy a team wants to move.

No one trading for Ed Davis after this past season unless you giving them a 2nd rounder.

If he was a free agent would he get a minimum deal? If you think yes then we could send cash and basically make him a minimum contract to a team over the cap. You are probably right that it would require a pick and some cash. But for Portland if they can get him at the minimum (essentially) then his salary is preferable over a minimum player because he could be later added into a bigger trade. At worst case he make Dame happy.

And sadly I think you made this a whole lot more interesting... I think I will go round by round until "No cuts" wins the vote.

I voted Niang. I think he has peaked in his development. He played fairly well during the regular season, but him and Bradley really had their athleticism exposed to a huge degree in the playoffs. Just think they are super low ceiling role players who cant excel in the post-season. Sure, Quin played them cuz they were more ready to compete, but DL/JZ are going to cut them because they have maxed out. A way to make your team more athletic is to get rid of your worst athletes.

Dame isnt happy if Ed Davis is now a walking trash can.

Not that its a big haul but I think a team desperate for cheap shooting would give a very minor asset for him... Philly has four second round picks... wonder if they'd give #49 for him. Highly doubt they'd give 34 or 36... #49 seems doable though.

I don't understand getting rid of tucker as he has a lot of potential. Niang is NOT going to get better and the Jazz need to get more athletic

He's already an NBA player with an NBA skill and does some other stuff okayish. Also a solid locker room guy...

Niang shoots 9 3s per 36 min (#17 in the league) and makes 40% of them. He's an okay passer and can handle the ball a little. I really do think a team would give up a second if we wanted to trade him.

Tucker is a great athlete but I'm not sure he can connect all the dots and become a good role player. He's interesting. I think the other guys have more potential to fill a role.
