Rudy/Donovan All Star rankings among players/media

What if Donovan does not make All Star team?
Would that change his desire to stay with Jazz?
Jazz aren't getting any allstar spots right now. Players have to earn that ****.

Team record matters for these things.

Jazz aren't getting any spots. The only possibility is Gobert.

Donovan has not earned an allstar spot. He simply hasn't earned it. It's not even sort of a close call.

Win games if you want to be in the allstars.

This would be an interesting topic to talk about if it wasn't for oneye.

Or should I say hotnickkk??
How many posters are on this board? Seems like we have a few with many different names/accounts merely to troll. Weird

I’d put Rudy’s odds at 100%, Donovan’s odds at 75%. I will agree Donovan’s play nose dived in January and then he’s missed quite a few for injury, so maybe he’s less of a sure thing.

The media vote for our players is about right. Gobert should be at 3rd, he is behind Lebron and a bit behind Jokic. Mitchell at 5 is pretty fair. I think Mitchell and Booker are pretty much the same but you have to give the nod to the better team.

As far as the fan rank and the player ranks go, they are always beyond stupid. Players vote is pointless, they dont take it serious and their rankings suck. Fan vote isnt much better. The fact either of them voted for Klay is beyond stupid.

Mitchell and Gobert should and will both make the all-star team unless they are injured/out.

I get back to enjoying the Jazz. Rudy, one of the least popular players in the league got 52 player votes. Donovan? 17. Behind Steph, Ja, Dejounte Murray, Shai, CP3, Booker, Luka, and Edwards. I guess those who play the game know......and aren't so high on our wonderfully popular super star either. But he's the best right @LoPo (not even his peers like him that much)
You can't compare those numbers directly. There are 50% more votes for front court players, and also a lot less log-jam.

Jazz are 4th in the West...

West reserves will almost certainly include Rudy and KAT front court, CP3, Booker, Luka, Donovan back court. Draymond will get picked, I suppose. I'm not sure how many reserves they pick, but I think maybe 8. Donovan would have to miss out to KAT (terrible team) and Draymond (injuries) plus at least two of people like Anthony Edwards (bad team), Shai (bad team), Brandon Ingram (injuries plus bad team), AD (injuries, also not great team), PG13 (injuries, not great team). I think he's almost certainly going to be selected.

Not worried one bit about Gobert, DM is a bit more slippery, but think the odds favor him as I don’t see him getting passed over for those guys or someone like Murray from SA.

He would have a much tougher time in the east.

I can simply look at the guys he has less votes than and see just fine why being ranked there and in 9th place is a slap in the face by his peers. We all talk about fan voting, and yet he was higher in fan voting than he was ranked by players.

I kind of hope neither of them make it. Maybe they will play with a chip on their shoulder the rest of the season.
