Rudy Gobert Appreciation Thread

How is rooting for Rudy to win a Chip deriving my happiness on the pain of others?

You want Rudy to win a Chip do you not?

So do I.

We’re on the on same side here brah.
You responded to my post as if it were directed at you, so you obviously felt my post was talking about you. Troll harder, bra.

I've never understood people who based their self esteem and any joy in their lives in reveling in the pain of others. Other than psychopaths, like Trump. Seems we have a few of those in jazz fanz. Or at least 1 and their alt.

Um, maybe read the name of this thread out loud?

It should become clear I’m the biggest Rudy Fan on this thread.

Oh ok my bad.

Must have been seeing things.
Apparently.

This whole thing makes me laugh. Fan how you want. I’m a Jazz fan first and foremost but have no reason to root against dudes who played here and gave us their best. I understand we ultimately want wolves to go down in flames next year but this year? Whatevs.

LOL .. I don’t get what you’re trying to achieve here.

I’m on your side here. I want Rudy to win the Chip for the Twolves.

Isn’t that what you want?
When did I say you weren't? I am trying to get you to stop misrepresenting what I said. But hey, trolls gonna troll.

Trolling is one of the most foreign things to me. Like, I can’t even fathom the purpose of it. I understand that it is an insecurity/immaturity type response, but I don’t see how it makes them feel better about themselves. “I feel so good because I said dumb pointless stuff on the internet, antagonizing others and now everyone hates me.” What a sad life. It contributes nothing to any discussion and is a net negative in our society.
It is an interesting modern problem. Before the internet, was there any type of real life trolling? I don’t remember anything like it other than playing jokes on people. It seems like anonymity has fueled these sad people, that really don’t have anything else to contribute.

Well, you had people like Andy Kaufman, who in my opinion were primarily entertaining themselves. I feel like the public reaction was part not getting it and part wanting to seem sophisticated about getting it (when they didn’t) and the audience wanting to laugh at the joke, when it was them who were the butt of the jokes. Any time I hear the term “comedic genius” thrown around, it invariably gives me these vibes, as when people don’t get something and want to pretend they do, you hear the term, rather than when someone gets something… you just say “they’re really funny.”

That’s a long-*** tangent that may seem irrelevant but I’ve been bottling it up for a few decades.

In real life it's generally a form of bullying or harassment. I think they feel so low about themselves that anything they can do to make them feel powerful feels reasonable to them. They have my pity really. But they can also **** off.
