I am confused how Paul George could be mentioned in the same breath as Rudy Gobert as far as defensive impact is concerned. It is easy to put all 3 in all nba first team. The difference is not significant and it comes down to how voters rank them.

He already is elligle for supermaxI kind of don't want him to get DPOY because that makes him super max eligible
Nope. He has not qualified based on all nba yet
For a player to qualify, he must make one of the three all-NBA teams or win defensive player of the year or MVP the season before he is offered an extension. Or he must meet one of those criteria in two of the prior three seasons or have won MVP in one of the three prior seasons
Everything I have seen everywhere says that he is elligle and the reports of him not being elligle are incorrect. For a player to qualify, he must make one of the three all-NBA teams or win defensive player of the year or MVP the season before he is offered an extension. It's very confusing but I found this. For a player to qualify, he must make one of the three all-NBA teams or win defensive player of the year or MVP the season before he is offered an extension. Mitchell will be restricted so he can't leaveEither way we’re going to have to pay him big time in order to retain him. If we don’t improve this team significantly this summer, kiss both he and Mitchell goodbye.
Mitchell will be restricted so he can't leave
Rudy won't turn down supermax so if we want to pay him then he won't leave.

Just saying, Mitchell can't just leave. It ain't up to him.Right. Because a superstar on a restricted contract has never soured on his team for failing to build a contender and demanded a trade/asked to not be matched.

I recall AD demanding to be traded last season and New Orleans saying **** you.
I also remember kahwi demanding a trade and being told **** you.
And if the jazz decided to oblidge him a trade then I reckon he would fetch a handsome ransom.
Sorry I don't just run to doom and gloom mode at every scary possibility. It's just my personality to be able to see light in the darkness.
Carry on.
I remember when Hayward left and everyone freaked out about how ****ed we were.
I didn't.

Why does that matter?Oof.
What time are the spurs playing tonight?
Really? do I really have to explain this?
Who won that demand? Kawhi or the Spurs?
He can't but on flipside Gobert doesn't bring close to same amount of offense.I am confused how Paul George could be mentioned in the same breath as Rudy Gobert as far as defensive impact is concerned.
Makes me wonder how many of these all defensive first teams and DPOY he would need to get into the HOF[
7 to 8 years all NBA and DPOY and some success in playoffs. Scoring more points and improving his passing game would help his case.
LeBron had injuries this year and missed some games but he averaged 27 8 and 8.Sadly Lebron did not deserve to be all NBA this season. Still Top 3 player overall but this season, his injuries, games missed, and missing the playoffs should’ve ruled him out.
That’s as close as it gets.Based on voting, it actually appears it's more likely between him and PG.
Agreed. The way I see it is the voters know he should win it every year so he won’t called sports writer politics.I really feel like our guy is gonna get snubbed.
