Rudy Gobert Named to NBA All-Defensive First Team

I think you can make a case for Green over Rudy for the DPOY and one for Rudy winning too. The problem I have is the vote wasn't even close. So I tend to agree National TV exposure helps candidates but so does winning. Now that the Jazz have made the playoffs they will get more of the exposure needed to win the big awards. Malone was league MVP twice.

I am not surprised Giannas won he got more attention then Rudy and he made the All-star team. Rudy's time will come if he continues to work hard and the team continues to progress towards a championship level. Just more motivation for Rudy, not that he needs it. Rudy next level is to improve his offensive game. I was glad he got first team all-NBA which he deserved.

Gobert posted this after finding out he didn't win. Can't wait to see what he does next year.

I'm surprised Gobert received so little votes for 1st place.

Btw the only way Rudy will get one is when the NBA and the ppl get sick of the same person winning it always. Just like how Malone won his MVP do to ppl getting tired of seeing Jordan winning it all the time.

When that happens, I hope Rudy rejects that **** and say, nah I'm good. He'll be a complete goat after that. lol

So Gobert got a distant third in MIP and a distant 2nd in DPOY.

In response he tweeted a black screen with the caption "the don't learn"

Someone's pissed. Good. Take that to Hayward and that's your pitch. "Gobert is out for blood". That's all you say. After looking at him for a minute you slide a max contract over and he signs.
