What's new

Rudy... sigh.

Not yao or embiid. They are way thicker. Garnett is not a bad example but he isn't as tall or nearly as long.

I just gave you examples of tall lanky players that have developed at least 1 post move. That's all I want from rudy. I'm not asking for Hakeem, Garnett, or anyone like that. I just want him to do something with the ball in post mismatches. Right now, you might as well have Spudd Webb defend him, he could probably do it

Maybe it's like another poster said, when you are that tall and skinny your center of gravity makes it difficult. Rudy goes up for a hook and the defender pushes Rudy slightly and due to Rudy's size it makes his shot go awry. Now there is an answer for you. You certainly wont except it though. You are just too douchey

No need for name calling.

He has no offense. His offense is totally dependent on other players

Tall and lanky isn't enough. They must also be skinny as hell. Embiid and yao don't qualify.

Let's say that Rudy did develop one move like Kyoto wants. And he used this move often but it's less efficient that was Rudy already does and it makes the team worse and win less games. Would good ol Kyoto be super happy then?

Gobert just doesnt have great ball-coordination ability. It's not who he is. He's an awkward ************ w/ wonky hand-eye coordination. It is what it is.

Gobert is great because he's insanely long, can move his feet defensively for a guy his size, and his high IQ/motor. He isnt some super athlete, a guy with incredible ball skills, or a guy who can move bodies with a drop step.

Well, again, people dont read this part

I'm just saying on mismatches in the paint/block

I'm not wanting him to use it as a set play. I just want him to be able to have some sense of an offensive move when he is set up in ideal situations.

You don't ask Klay Thompson to develop dribble moves when he can move off ball and get incredible shots.

It's the same **** with Gobert at the rim. Why would you ask a guy like him to post-up 5-8 feet out when he can just run at the rim and get open to dunk or force fouls?

He does that every game jackass.

I don't really care, but you're kind of a hypocrite.
I mentioned twice to him that I wasnt wanting rudy to be the next Hakeem, but his replies were insinuating that I was. Honestly, if you were telling someone something twice that you weren't wanting that of rudy and he tells you twice "yes you are", I would think he is either trolling me or he's just dumb

Kyoto laying down a whole lot of stupid in thread. Rudy is one of the most efficient offensive players in the league. He creates spacing by being such a beast at the rim. He is very good at what he should be doing and in no way should anyone be begging for Rudy to try and become a post-up scorer, it's an inefficient shot and he should spend his time getting even better at the things he is doing now.
But what if he spent all of his time and energy going all-in on a Hakeem hook shot?

Holy crap, I started this thread being sick of rudy getting the ball and not being able to do anything with it. Its turned into flame kyoto.

You guys are the worst, how dare someone have a differing opinion on this board. You have even gone as far as twisting my words and using things I never said against me.

I've tried to be polite and have an open discussion, but I can tell that people are more interested in fighting and arguing than discussing a topic. I've made valid points, you guys have made valid points let's just end it.

I'm sick of the attacks just because it's an unpopular opinion.
