Rudy is amazing. And I give him credit.

Rudy does not have a 48 inch vertical. Ran the 220 hurdles in college. Bench pressed over 500 pounds. Was a high jumper. Etc.

The above are verified facts by the way. Rudy is really good, but no he's not Wilt. Not by a long shot.
 
Yes, Wilt was a vertical pop, up and down athletic monster. He didn't have Gobert lateral quickness and he never had to guard elite athletes every single NBA game. Those are facts.

Gobert is the defensive player of the decade though. But I think Green deserves it this year so far.

Rudy has better lateral quickness than Shaq. Doesn't make him better.

Wilt was the most physically imposing center to ever play the game. Stop man. Just stop.
 
There is a small part of me that would almost like to see the Jazz go without a month or two of Gobert.

Then when the Jazz immediately tailspin down the standings due to their historically god-awful defense, maybe then people would finally realize: "Oh, Gobert has a superstar impact"

Lateral quickness matters way more to basketball than the **** you posted lmfao.

Wilt is the Russell Westbrook of centers who played against a bunch of dudes who wouldn't even be in the G League.

And I looked at the thread. You're the one who brought Wilt up lmao. That would be like me bringing up Jerry West in a thread about Donovan Mitchell. That era of basketball is irrelevant other than it being what it was, a stepping stone to get to actual elite physical competition.

I brought up Wilt because people were talking like he was the best defensive big man in the history of basketball.

Sometimes, people just need perspective.
