Rumor: Gobert wants Jazz to decide between him or Mitchell

We held the Rockets to below their season norms, but they completely stifled our offense.

Missing their leading scorer and one of the best playmakers in the game, and then getting him back somewhat hobbled, had something to do with that.

I will probably get flamed for this but I think De'Aaron Fox is a player that we should be targeting for Mitchell. I think Fox would be an incredible fit with Gobert. Mitchell has more value than Fox so I think we could probably get Fox and the 7th pick for Mitchell and Gay. At the 7 spot the dream pick would be Mathurin. We would suddenly go from a poor perimeter defensive team to potentially a really good perimeter defensive team. Pair good perimeter defense with Gobert and you have something special.

Fox and #7 for Mitchell is interesting. This draft is deep at the top in my opinion. You could still land someone like Keegan Murray potentially or AJ Griffin.

Conley needs to get moved at that point too. I still like my Marcus Morris swap idea for him.

Not crazy at all… I proposed that as well… you want to get something that replaces Don and a scratcher that could be more. Fox is a buy low guy but his shot might not ever fully come around. His defense makes Donovan look solid right now but that might be partly playing in Sacramento

If we could somehow move Conley in a deal for Morris and Terrance Mann it would be a homerun for us. The clippers have enough depth at the wing that I think they would move Mann in a trade like that. That would be adding 2 more solid defensive players to the rotation. That turns us into an incredible perimeter defensive team.
