If the jazz could add cousins for either gobert or favors the jazz front office would be stupid not to take the trade.
As for nosactown i woukd see the wanting favors over gobert and hete is why. They draft wcs to play next to cousins. They signed koufas in the offseason. Then they drafted that euro kid this year.
They are still weak at the 4 and pairing favors with wcs gives the kings a similar front court to what the jazz have.
If i was divac i would ask for Favors, burks and mack. I would offer cousins and mclemore in trade. (mclemore has seriously under performed)
I dont think draft picks would even need to be used. I would give up a second or 2 if i was the jazz but this trade instantly makes the kings better.
The kings would look like this next year
Collinson, mack, temple
Burks, afflolo, richardson
Gay, butler, cassipi
Favors, skal, tollinver
Wcs, koufas, papagianisis
They have a lot of versatility with that line up. They actually have a decent team except at the pg spot. They also lack shooting.
The jazz on the other hand would probably prefer richardson in the trade but mclemore would be ok for the 4th or 5th wing off the bench.
Hill, exum, neto
Hood, mclemore
Hayward, johnson, ingles
Cousins, lyles, bolomboy
Gobert, withey, pleiss
Again great versatility with cousins sliding overto play center with lyles. I know the argument thete isnt enough room down low with gobert and cousins. The defender on gobert will slough off him to double team. I am not as worried because it would be the same thing with favors except cousins is an ok shooter and will make teams pay down low.
Cousins would need to become a better passer and cut down on turn overs but with the jazz he wont have to do everything.
I would love this trade and i think winning would be a huge cure for what ails cousins. Everything i have read is when he is in a winning situation he is an awesome teammate.
I know this will not happen and nosactown will be kicking themselves when they get nothing for cousins in the future.
