The Flash waived Ryan Thompson due to injury. Teams in the DLeague are limited to 10 players and perhaps he can come back when he heals up. Man so much for the next Wesley Matthews.
 
There a point guard that played with the Celtics and was a second round draft pick the same year as DWill. Then it looks like the usual suspects. The Stampede have Salim Stoudemaire who was the first pick in the second round that year by Atlanta and has a career 8 point average for the Hawks and has played in a playoff series. He's also a point guard.
 
I never understood the love Ryan Thompson got from some Jazz fans. The kid did not impress me at all in training camp. However you still never know about players because just look at Michael Beasley tearing it up in Minnesota after looking like a bust in Miami.
 
I checked the DLeague's website and if a player is "waived due to injury" rather than waived, the team gets to keep his DLeague rights. So whatever is wrong he'll probably be back. Yeah that Salim is from UofA.
