Saint Cy's Incredible Knowledge and Wisdom: Jazz Must Acquire Kyle Filipowski in the 2024 Draft

Is what he's doing legit or is it a little like Taylor Hendricks looking good last season in a tanking ***** team ?? Haven't really watched a lot of him.
I don’t think he was putting up those numbers that Flip has, but I could be wrong. Truthfully I don’t really recall a stretch like that for Hendricks.

from what i've seen so far, flip has the ability to learn and adjust quickly, which is really what you need as an NBA player. if you are concerned about his t'rex-ness, just pretend that he's 6'10 not 7'. everything else can come from weightlifting and repetition.

This is precisely the question everyone should be asking this season. It's bizarre how how many Jazzfanz armchair analysts are taking victory laps now that a guy like Flip has posted some decent counting stats in games where we get our asses kicked by seven G-League level players. I mean, if you're a big part of that, you're just not a good player. I'm sorry. I don't care what that box score says.

Context matters. It matters a lot. This Jazz group is beyond terrible, and it's facing teams that are almost as terrible and want to lose. There's almost nothing we can really learn about the youngins this season. They have inflated roles, no accountability (since losses are "good") and lots of misguided people blowing smoke up their asses when they score 20 points.

I mean, Flip is gonna be kinda OK in the real, non-tanking NBA. A nice bench player. But if he's gonna be anything more, he's gonna have to prove it in that environment. This season does not count.

Kind of shocked the on/off defensive numbers are essentially the same with Flip. Doesnt really make any sense given he plays with Walker less than anyone on the team.

I guess that says our team is so full of negative defenders that it doesnt really matter who's playing. The defense is bad.

No doubt a sliver of light in a dark, abysmal season. Perhaps he'll end up being a "super Olynyk".

He has a long way to go to become a "regular Olynyk".

This season is absolutely meaningless and so are the stats. We'll see what kind of player Flip is when he plays in games with real stakes – where two NBA teams at full strength are actually trying to win and his role is a 7th or 8th guy.

I'd say that too if I was an insufferable loser who said dumb **** at the start of the year like Flip cant shoot.

Would Jazz be able to put 5 elite shooters on floor at the same time?
What would that look like? Just curious Maybe they can't
But they now have Flip, Sensabaugh, Clayton.
Do they have two more they can put on floor with these three?
