What's new

Salt Lake City Summer League: July 5-8 @ Huntsman Center

A lot of people complaining about Ace not being used enough, but I don't mind it. Bringing him along somewhat slowly and playing to his current strengths is probably a positive. If he can do the basic stuff and play hard he can start expanding his game to be the bag god.

My new fantasy is that we get Chris Paul and just have him spam pick and rolls to Ace all year long in training camp, in practice, and during the games in season.

It's a big positive that Ace doesn't have to be the #1 focal point and can still make a big impact. The activeness, rebounding, ball handling, and passing are better than I thought they would be. If he can build up his stamina to play 100% all the time, he is going to be a monster.

100%. I don't think he hustles for rebounds/cuts if he's getting the ball every possession and simply "goes to work". He should probably get a few more touches/plays run for him, but the fact that he's been willing to work for touches the way he has is the most encouraging thing I've seen from him.

It's a good point, I don't mind him not initiating offense or having the ball in his hands all the time. It just seems like he is ignored for possessions at a time. Still, not asking much of him and just letting him play is not a bad thing. Last night would have been nice of Brice or Collier found him a couple more times is all.
