No more danger than if he is playing for the Jazz. If the lockout goes a full year, I'm in favor of the young guys signing contracts in Europe or Asia. They all need PT to develop. Sure the competition won't be as good, but at least they can work on various aspects of their games. These guys will NOT be signing long-term deals. They'll all have outs in their contracts to return to the NBA once the lockout is lifted.
I'm all in favor of players like Kanter playing too. We are dying to see them play, and they need the development. We'll all be devastated though, if any of our good players get hurt while playing for someone else.
