What's new

Saw this elsewhere. Think Betrayward knew he was leaving?

Ehh, could just mean he was going to upgrade his house if he stayed in Utah. He was going to more than double his annual salary.

there was a really small tid bit in february, 1 week prior to the all star game. Everybody seemed to miss that subtle but major hint that somebody left(cant remember who)

it said that as soon as hayward got the all star nod the first person he went and spoke to was BRAD STEVENS.

im telling you there was major collusion behind closed doors. Haywards entire charade of ******** in the off-season was all bull.

he knew he was going to play for stevens prior to the end of last season.

Haywho?

Is this still a thing?

I thought he was Lameward now, literally and figuratively.

Completely agree. Plain as day he knew for a very long time which is fine, but all the BS he put the Jazz through (and Miami) is why i have no respect for him.

Locke mentioned that he was told during the season last year by another team exec that Hay was going to Boston. He did not say who told him but I am in the camp that he knew all along and felt he needed to make it look good. He had every right to leave which I wish was not the case but I get it and it is the way the game works. However, doing it the way he did buried the team that make him what he was. The way Paul George did it was painful but had integrity.

Hayward is present at the Celtics game tonight. I'm here, too, so I booed him quietly. You're all welcome.

You sir are a hero!

Also, I would still not like him if he left but I wouldn't hate him had he just been straight up with Jazz management.

When the season ends just tell them you are leaning strongly towards leaving and don't make moves with him in mind. I do not think we have traded for Rubio had we known... I'd rather have that pick and the cap space right now... we may have gone and got a stop gap option but I think Exum would have been tagged as the starter.

Knowing a year ago would have been nice but not sure what we would have gotten for the guy and it was a fun season and playoff run... not sure we would have moved him.

There was also that report a year ago that said he was leaving and the Jazz said it was completely fabricated and said they had a good dialogue with Gordon.

He really ****ed us in the butt, that's for sure.

As much as I hate and want to say eff Hayward, I miss him.

Even if he wasn't an NBA superstar, I now realize he was a Utah superstar. I miss that dude. **** his loyalty.

He went to the all star game to get recruited? Sounds familiar.

So let’s just think this out....Everyone has heard of another jazz dude who went to the all star game to pitch his wares anD then got traded.

So even someone as daft as nerdwerd probably had friends who told him what the jazz had done, and what they were likely to do to him if word got out he was shopping himself. So he being naturally scared of the world, much like a little mouse, he didn’t want to go somewhere for a few months. That would be hard and he knew Robin wouldn’t like to move twice. So on 5he advice of Danny Ainge aand his agent he keeps his mouth shut and plays like he is undecided.

But why wait? If he already knew he was going, and robin knew he was going, and Boston knew he was coming...why wait? Well, that’s the bad news for Jazzfans. Nerdwerd waited until the other free agents were signed, it Was like running over the neighbors cat twice...once because you want the cat dead and backing up to do it again because you hated that cat. I am afraid nerdwerd hated the cat.

Why did Gordon hate the cat exactly? Seems like a lot projection in your post. We'll never know the reality of it all unfortunately.

I'm not sure it was that intentional... more like trying to break up with a girl you like but she's really nice and she's been with you a while. You can't quite bring yourself to be the bad guy so you say like I would stay with you but I don't like your cat and I'm allergic to cats... then next time you see here she gave up her cat and says now we can be together... but you really just wanted to bail.

He should have just manned up and told us he was looking for something different... like lamarcus Aldridge did. Just be fair with us.

Projection? No. Speculation, exaggeration, or just plain fiction probably, but no not projection.

And he hated the cat because he is a dog person.

Jack: Greg, how come you don't like cats?
Greg: I don't not like cats. I-I just-- I just prefer dogs. I mean, I'm just more of a dog kind of, you know--Come home, wagging their little tails, happy to see you kind of--
Jack: You need that assurance? You prefer an emotionally shallow animal?
Greg: I--
Jack: You see, Greg, when you yell at a dog, his tail will go between his legs and cover his genitals, his ears will go down. A dog is very easy to break, but cats make you work for their affection. They don't sell out the way dogs do.
Greg: Huh.

This a new name I have hears from him and its not very good. He left and didn't want to play for you. Yall act like you physically owned him. He played thru his contract in Utah and then left and y'all are acting like little babies. Yet you wonder why no free agent gives Utah the time of day. Mental midget fan base. Players leave all the time. It's the era we live in. He was not your slave and you didn't own him. Some of you need to grow up. The funniest part is all the Foreign Jazz fans. They think it most be awesome since its in America but us Americans know what the rest of the country think of Utah. Right or wrong people have views on Utah that's normally not good. I have heard from black players they don't like playing in Utah. Heard can't find a soul food restaurant in the town . I'm sure they have ONE but still players like to go to cities they feel welcomed and around other people like them. Do you think you can't goes on silly names is going bring him back? the name calling makes the jazz fans look bad and hey I know y'all are a passionate fan base but is it hard to show respect? He fulfilled his contract here and moved on. Y'all look like the crazy ex who just can't get over her and follow and harass her and her new man. I'm ashamed to be a Jazz fan sometime because a lot of whiners. HEe moved on and so should we. Heck we have Mitchell who is a top 4 player from this draft and the best shot blocking big man in the game. Plus slot of high character guys. Yes fans need to show the same character as the Jazz Players do. Name calling is what people do in 4th grade, adults thank them wish them then best and go on with their lives. Heck all Hayward did was make us a first round playoff team. HEe made playoffs once and beat an old clippers team without it's best player. ONE playoff in 7 years, yet. We going act like babies because of his choice wanting to go elsewhere. Also it don't matter how he left some would roast him no matter what. Remember deron Williams as an example
