It was actually a hand like that where I made my money. I was sitting on 6,7 suited (clubs) and someone who had been playing conservative but poorly the whole day went all in. He was just behind of me in chips so I thought I had an ok shot to get ahead, and I was kind of getting bored so I called, as did some other idiot who ended with basically nothing. The first guy was sitting on pocket Q's. I thought, oh great. It flopped a pair of 8's, so he was sitting on two pair going into the turn. The problem for him was one card flopped matched my suit....and so did the turn and the river. Flush over 2 pair. That was cool. Put me far enough ahead that I could absorb the other loss and still leave ahead almost a grand for the day. Playing on the same day as you guys is good luck for me. I will do that again.
