What's new

Say what you will about Burke, but his attitude is great

I befriend this German girl once when i was in high school.. she's really big but super nice...

We used to paint together in Art class and lunchtime and after school and stuff... :( pity she went out with this other dork before I got the chance to ask her out.

Still think about her from time to time.

Was her name Sabine? Dark hair, big boobs?

Double posts, double schnitzel, double blonds... and now lost moments in life...
I'm just confused... Oh yea... Burke is 'hungry'... We'll see when he plays.
If he tries to do 'more'... which has resulted in lower and lower shooting percentages, hunger may hurt, not help.

You had the chance to ask her out, just didn't have the balls.

I'll give him that, he has a good attitude. He handled the back up PG assignment like a true professional. And from everything I can tell he works hard. Good sign.

I'm not very high on him anymore but I'd be thrilled it Burke exploded and made me eat my words.

I felt this way the other day, until we went to this awesome restaurant and had this:

That is an entire cauliflower and about 3 pounds of the best schnitzel I have had yet.
I think you may have been at my grandma's house because that's her tablecloth. (She died about 15 years ago, BTW.)

Because once a large super nice German girl goes out with someone else it's all over? And how did the dork ask her before you had a chance? It sounds like you should have had plenty of chances while painting.

But then there's this (from the Trib version of the article):

"Burke shot just 31.8 percent from deep during his sophomore campaign. Overall, he became the first player since 1965 (Detroit's Ray Scott) to shoot less than 37 percent while attempting more than 1,000 shots, according to Basketball-Reference.com."

What does this have to do with table cloths or tall, chubby German girls?

Sorry... back to Burke.... They also point out his low percentage overall... which has much to do with not being able to finish at the rim... Locke went on and on last week (TIP OFF) about Trey realizing what he can and can't do... and working on that. Catch and shoot vs shooting off the dribble... but then... how can you have the ball in his hands as the PG?
Like his attitude and team support... but that won't take him through this season unless his decision making and/or shooting percentages improve.

One of the strengths of this team is all the ball handlers that the Jazz have. Burks, Exum, Hayward, Lyles, Ingles and Hood are all more than capable of hitting Burke as he comes of a screen.
