Maybe you should allow each member a secret identity if they want one.

It seems like being anonymous(as if your not already)appeals to quite a few users. This way they can make dumb comments without hurting their rep and still be responsible to the admin for what they post.

Could also be used as an alter ego. ex drunk_heyhey

For the most part "alts" are either a way for a banned user to post or for an active member to troll. Not much good can come from it, but this zero tolerance stuff is pretty harsh.

I think banned users for non-violent infractions should be able to post bail. Paypal Jason $100 and they get it back after 6 months if they have met certain criteria.

Official policy is lifetime after you accrue 5 active infractions (within 180 days). Unofficial policy is that most people receive a pardon after 6 months.

I tried to convince Jason that banned users should have to buy a lifetime premium membership to come back after their six months is up. He has yet to take that advice. Apparently he's rich enough.
