Is Whiteside's play and contract making Rudy look tradable? I think not but the FO should contemplate.

One question.

What kind of candy?

One follow up.

How much candy?

TIA

So... Gobert for Simmons.

This is a ridiculous question but I will say that Hassan is a treat and I enjoy his antics as well as his great play. He's way more fun than I anticipated. He absolutely gets under the skin of the opponent in a great way.

So is there no one anybody would trade for Gobert? No one?
I like Gobert very much but there are some players that I might trade him for straight across
Would only do it if a championship was guaranteed with the trade
Maybe Giannis. Maybe Jokic but I would get torched for that
Maybe LeBron if he still has one championship left in him
Are there others? There would be very few after these three

No one short of Durant. Maybe Embiid but he is a douche of the 3rd order.

I honestly feel like the number of players that would give us a real upgrade on Gobert is very small. Embiid and Durant are 2 of them. Jokic and Giannis are on the bubble, imo. I feel like both of them would be break-even or slight upgrades. I don't think LBJ gets us anywhere beyond maybe this season, and maybe not even this season. If the bar is guaranteed championship it's probably just the first 2, Embiid or Durant. Beyond that I don't think we could get anyone who guarantees the ring.

The number of people that are an upgrade over Gobert probably is small but Durant, Joker and Giannis are no brainers IMO.

The number of people who are an upgrade over Rudy G is small but Durant, Joker, and Giannis are a no brainer for me. I tend to think that Embid has a decent probability of nagging injuries. The other reality is that I doubt any team would trade who we would take for Rudy. That is why I voted no - I am open to a trade but think there is no scenario where it could happen.

Upgrade sure, guaranteed championship as a result? Probably only Durant tbh. And anything like that is ever happening. Even for the handful that are equal or a slight upgrade. Just wouldn't ever happen.

Why is Durant a guaranteed Championship? I think he is a good player but what has he done to earn that? He has only won with a team that won without him. Giannis just carried a team by himself to a Championship. He is much more of a guarantee that Durant. But no player is a guarantee. Giannis is as close to that as possible, more than any player right now. Lebron might be a close second behind him but I worry about age and injuries now. Embiid is no were close to that. Anthony Davis is more of a guarantee that Embiid and that is no where close to a guarantee. I would take Butler in a trade over Embiid.

I do agree that anyone that is an upgrade over Gobert or even isnt going to get traded here for him. If we could then it might be a conversation to have, but its not. We would have to get 2 or 3 quarters and some change that wouldnt add up to his dollar. It would be a bad trade for the Jazz. Plus Hassan is a nice backup but we know what type of player he is and he isnt Gobert or anywhere near his level.

I like Rudy, but it depends on what we would get in return - combination of nice young players and good unprotected draft picks?

So restart the timeline and give up competing for a couple years? Ill pass I think we have a legit chance now, I dont want to gamble on maybe getting a player as good as Gobert and hoping we can compete later and Mitchell stays for that.
