Serge Ibaka?

I think Snyder could do wonders for Ibaka here. I think he could be a good fit. There is no way I give up Exum and Favors for him and have him signed to a big deal. If they are willing to do Favors and Burks and we can get him for 3 years at less than 20, sure.

I keep hearing but cant find anything official that we can not do sign and trades if teams are over the cap though.

When was the last sign and trade completed in the NBA? We keep talking about them but I am not seeing them.

Edit: maybe I would only go 15-17 per for him after thinking about it.

wtf? how on earth is that racist?

That everyone in Africa is capable of lying about their age because they're uncivilized/primitive/technologically (or intellectually) incapable of basic record-keeping (or whatever terminology you want to dress it up as)? What the **** is NOT racist about that idea?

Wow, you really ran away with that didn't you.

I'd rather just keep Favors.

yeah, I'm really warming to this idea. What we need is a PF that will bridge the current team with its re-loaded form. I guess I can just accept the fact that Favors value as an asset may be reduced to being that bridge. He plays well next year, then leaves. And hopefully we make the WCF or some ish.

My brother lied about his age on a dating web site; he's white. It's not because Africans or Latin Americans are intellectually or technologically challenged. It happens because older prospects can be bigger, faster, stronger and better than players several years younger. And teams, whether that be basketball or baseball often value potential over experience. Look at the draft: if you're a college junior or senior, your stock drops. So if you're 23, but can get away with claiming you're only 19, you do it.

Record keeping has been suspect in many countries. If it were possible, I'm sure a lot of prospects in the U.S., or anywhere else, would say they are younger than they are. Ibaka isn't the first to have his age called into question. It has happened a LOT in baseball.

But in regards to Favors, not only do we need a bridge at the four, we need one at the backup 5. Bradley isn't going to be ready this year. Who matches up against the bigger 4's? Or teams that have a couple of big "bigs" (like the Pelicans). I think Utah does need to address the 4, though. Is Bolomboy starter quality? Because next season, Utah may not have Favs nor Johnson. And they certainly won't have cap space.

I think that the Jazz might keep Diaw as a backup 4 also. I can see them cut him and then sign him back at a minimum contract.
